I couldn’t wait for this book and I wasn’t disappointed. Again and for the other titles in this series, the marriage between author and narrator is perfect. The author telling a gripping story and the narration is excellent.

I didn't want the story to end but couldn't stop listening to it. If it were a paper version it would be classed as a real page turner.

I didn't enjoy this as much as the last three books. It was over violent and not as suspenseful. It won't put me off listening to another but I was a bit disappointed.

An excellent performance but the story was just too far fetched. The first books in series were gripping but I think the author is running out of ideas.

Disappointed with the story

I love this series, not least because as someone who has lived in Liverpool for over 20 years, I enjoy learning snippets of local history and culture. But the stories are good - really unputdownable good. This fourth in the series has me reeling, though. It is so much darker than previously. There is much introspective brooding. It's brilliant, but not my favourite of the four so far. Having listened to the interview with David Jackson on Audible, I am really hoping there will be more in the series.

This series is a must read. David Jackson is an amazing author, what a clever writer, the twists and plots all leading up to a brilliant ending. All I want to know is when's the next one coming being released.

I am getting a bit sick of the clown business now. I know it's part of his story but it could have been wrapped up in this story. I won't bother to read or listen to the next one
