About this listen
Famous novelist Rhys Carter loved to take long walks through his beech tree forest. It was relaxing, and the walks helped him think through the writer's block that oft times visited him while working on a novel. Today though, was different. This time he had been following the smell and sight of a stream of smoke coming from his woods. What had brought him here today was the need to find the source of the smoke. Where it led him was to something he had never seen before. There, in the middle of his hardwood forest, was a stand of spruce trees that had no business being there, and had never been there before. The smoke was coming from within this small stand of spruce. Upon entering this new little forest, Rhys discovered this was not a small stand of trees, but rather, a whole new land. He would also come to learn that he had been brought here for a purpose, and the outcome would be critical to thousands of lives.
