Summary

Fighting fate isn’t for the weak.

Cait
I am many things, but a supernatural being is not one of them. At least until a crescent mark appears on my wrist and everything changes. I’ve been marked by a wolf goddess, yet no one knows what that means, myself included.

On top of that, I find out my best friend is a werewolf and her pack alpha is my supposed mate. Just like that my future is decided - unless I find a way out.

Roman
When fate sends a human mate my way, I’m certain it has to be a mistake. An alpha is supposed to have an equal at his side. Cait might be strong in her own ways, but what she is makes her an easy target in my world.

Regardless, Cait is mine to protect and I have every intention of showing her this is where she belongs - in my pack, by my side.

This is a dual POV wolf shifter series narrated with duet voices. It features a strong willed, not-so-human leading lady, and a fierce yet loyal alpha who is determined to win her heart - no matter how many times she might reject him. If you love books by Leia Stone, Heather Hildenbrand, and Patricia Briggs, then be ready to devour this new series!

Incredible Story and Narration

Fan-freaking-tastic! Heather is one of my top favorite authors. She never disappoints. This was so so funny. Laugh out loud moments. Great action. Fated Mates 😁 The tension, oh the tension!! The chapter where Cait is sick 🤌🏼 *chef's kiss*  The side characters are just as real and loveable as the main couple. Dual POV.
The audio was top notch 👌🏼Adam reads all the male characters regardless of who's POV the chapter is and vice-versa for Michelle. It was surprising at first but I absolutely LOVED IT! It adds so much to the story. Highly recommend 🐺💙

💬 Quotes I Love:
It was still hot as Satan’s house outside, so I dressed in shorts and a t-shirt before deciding to leave my hair in a messy bun. I wasn’t trying to impress anyone.
(Same, girl)
...
His other hand wrapped around my hip, holding me close to him. “I will always take away your pain,” he said softly.
...
Damn, he was not making this easy. I was either the biggest idiot in the world, or the strongest woman alive for what I was about to do next—likely the former.
....
Roman grinned when he finished. “Told you I wouldn’t look.”
I rolled my eyes. “Do you want a treat for being a good boy?”
“I wouldn’t say no to one.”
Oh, I bet he wouldn’t.

Sucked in from the beginning

Omg. I loved this book. The two narrators were well matched. I loved the storyline and the fact it was a straight lust/sex. I am on tender hooks for more. Well worth listening too.

20 chapters of repetition

The premise is promising but the execution was clumsy. The heroine goes back and forth with no development for most of the book and only in the last few chapters does anything of substance actually happen. The cliffhanger that the book ends on isn't effective, however, because there is no relationship between the mc and the love interest to invest in. I could have easily cut out half the book and have the same amount of story. The villain also appears completely out of the blue which is a little jarring. All in all I think the first and second book could probably be condensed into one if the sequel is structured in the same way. The story has potential but a revision for the sake of pacing would be good.

I hate cliffhanger books

Really? The first book in a series ends in a cliffhanger?

Character development ends 1/3 through the book.

Very regrettable since the story concept and beginning are both good.

So angry

This book made me so angry. I feel like sometimes authors feel that they need to make the lead female as a total idiot. Seriously this whole book was negative. It was painful to know that she was going to complain about independence the whole time. She didn’t even give things a chance. And then to add insult it just ended with nothing resolved.

Main female character is awful

I absolutely love duet narration and Michelle Sparks is my favorite female narrator, so when I found this book I was positive I’d love it! That was, until I could barely stand the main female character. I kept on listening, hoping for her character to stop being so whiny, selfish, and immature…but it literally NEVER HAPPENED. Sometimes she’d realize how awful she was being, but then just continue to do the same stupid crap. It was so annoying that not even my favorite narrator could get me to the end of this book. Don’t waste your money on this book.

Good, Bad, and Annoying

Wolf Kissed is the story of a human girl marked by the moon goddess as the mate of a wolf shifter. Heather Renee writes strong characters in this paranormal romance. There is nothing cookie cutter about their choices or motivations, so I easily became invested in Kate and Roman’s destiny. Outside of their will-they won’t-they, not a whole lot happens. The story lags, but there is potential.

Sparks and Gold do terrific voice work. There are lots of characters, but I didn’t need help differentiating between them.

Wolf Kissed is Amazing

Cait is in Australia as a nanny, a world traveler. She is a free-spirited girl with pain and a past she is trying to hide from. As she is enjoying the beach, a pinch and mark suddenly appear on her wrist. She is approached by an unknown man. Things don't start out well for them. After an intense interaction, she consults her bestie about the new mark on her wrist. Cait is human. Embry her long-time besties, who she hasn't met in person, isn't, but she doesn't know that yet. After a strange conversation, Embry instructs Cait to come back to America and to her in Texas. When she arrives and finally sees Embry in person, her mystery man from Australia shows up too and not so welcoming. We find out his name is Roman. He is a wolf shifter and Alpha of the East Texas Pack. Roman gets an earful, and his parents include past info about a Luna Marked. Things get interesting for Cait and Roman.Heather did such an outstanding job building this world. she is such a talented author always writing such amazing books. The narrated did such an outstanding job performing this audiobook. Michelle did such an amazing job bringing Cait to life. Adam did such an outstanding job bringing Adam to life. i could not stop listening to this audiobook. i highly reccommand everyone to check this book out.

What a tedious, dense heroine

I hate the heroine. She is willfully stupid and annoyingly self absorbed. And, since the author chose to repeat things, the reader gets to experience the plot like Groundhog's Day. The premise of the story is great, and I actually am curious about the mystery, but with such a dense heroine, and the repetition, among other things, I am not continuing the series.

Wolf kissed

I dislike leaving less desirable reviews. The story begins off excellent and in totally on board with Cait's confusion and urge to get her normal human life back. But for this mindset of the character to remain throughout the entire book did run me the wrong way. Cait even read in a book the impact of a rejected mate would mean, but she couldn't ever get past her own self to see what was truly around her. Not until the very end when her choices were truly taken from her. The narrative of this book is the only reason I finished this book. If your looking for a strong female character then this book is not what you're looking for.

Kait it annoying

28 chapters wasted. The story line was good, but the execution was terrible. Literally the ENTIRE book the main character is whining and so indecisive. Like get to the good stuff already!!!!! I don't know if I'm going to bother with the second book, as I don't have much faith in it being much better. It really is a shame, this story line could have been epic.
