Light on actual story, heavy on sex

I always love a boxset and love shifters and mafia and reading steamy sex but this series seems very unbalanced. The author sets up the world and the drama but seriously it is light on the actual story building and heavy on the shifter/human sex scenes.
It also should have some trigger warnings as it's heavy on spanking, whipping and that classic "forced into submission" that's covered as the "you're my mate" and so I don't need consent.
I think in the first book there were over 5 sex scenes.

Great listen

These set of books are a great listen. Good stories and narration. Don’t listen if your easily offended as there is a lot of punishment and degrading of women
