Summary

George and Lou used to be thugs for hire. Now they're living in a shack in Costa Rica, hiding from the crime lord who wants them dead. Their last job, to deliver him a werewolf in a cage, went...badly.

But they can't hide out forever, and when they're finally captured, it seems as if George and Lou's ultimate fate will involve being doused in gasoline and set aflame. Instead, they're given a second chance. There's another werewolf out there. This time, it's Ally, a 14-year-old girl.

Kidnapping a teenaged girl is a major conflict with George and Lou's moral code, but they also aren't fans of being brutally executed, so they agree to the job. After all, the crime lord doesn't want to kill Ally - he just wants her to bite him. They'll snatch her, deliver her as promised, and then do everything they can to return her home safely. She doesn't even know she's a werewolf; it's not as if she'll create any complications by transforming.

Of course, this is George and Lou, so there are many, many complications.

The worst of which is that they've now enraged three other extremely nasty werewolves....

The brilliant Jeff Strand does it again.

I didn't think this book could live up to the original Will Hunt, but I was wrong. This is a terrific sequel.
The narration is top notch.
I have yet to be disappointed in anything Jeff Strand brings out.
And I have read a fair few now.
Highly recommended.

Not Lou Noooo

Well I know Lou and George couldnt make it forever but did Lou have to die so sadly? However it sounds like there is a major turn for George and Eugene that has my curiosity piqued.

Great for people who like their werewolves feral.

Very well read , the narrator really makes this fast paced novel which you will want to devour. If you are fed up of the teen fiction werewolves and want a combination of horror and humour, this is the novel for you

Loved it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was full of humour, the heroic George and Lou and homicidal werewolves. A great listen!

I DON'T LIKE THAT YOU CALL IT, MY CAGE

THIS ISN'T THE FIRST WEREWOLF, I'VE HAD ON THE ROOF OF MY VAN.
I bought this because I loved the first book. I was scheduled to ride with another driver and I wanted him to hear how funny and scary, Strand was. He loved it and is going to get book one. I have to admit that I could not get interested for long in the book. It was funny from start to finish, but story wise, I personally did not care. The book was one long chase scene, with lots of humor, gore and violence. Plot wise, it did not cut it for me. It was funny, but not as funny as book one. I still love Strand and will be buying Dweller and Pressure.

Better Than the First

First of all, there is a lot of gore, so this book isn’t for everyone. Compared to the first one, I think I like this one even better. I didn’t find as much humor in it, but I thought the characters were better.

Many horror novels use gore to shock their readers and usually include common phobias like a monster in the dark or creepy crawlies. These have their place but they’re a dime a dozen. The best horror novels are those that show the true dark depths of the twisted human mind. The very best villains have a good side and the very best heroes have a demon whispering into their ear.

There is no creature on Earth that can be sicker than a human, and a writer who can capture that sickness is a true artist. Jeff Strand has definitely done this. The werewolf angle does not detract from this; wolves don’t hunt humans down. It is the human mind with the wolf claws, teeth, and strength that makes this so good.

Scott Thomas once again did an excellent job bringing it to life. He was able to perfectly portray the emotion, from abject terror to psychotic exuberance. The pacing and pronunciation was spot on, the female characters were good, and I never had to wonder who was talking.

This is one of my favorite horror novels with a great balance of action, description, and dialogue. I recommend it to all horror-lovers.

I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Jeff Strand writes a mean sequel.

"This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."

You just gotta love George and Lou. I didn't think that Jeff Strand could outdo Wolf Hunt 1, it was such a great story, but he showed me wrong. Congrats. This was a delight. Eugene was a great character too, a messed up one for sure but he added a lot to my enjoyment. I must point out that I am quite saddened by the turn of events that will force George to find another partner if ever there is a Wolf Hunt 3. But I'm convinced that Mr. Strand can pull it off. If I could have myself a third arm sewn on I'd give you a three thumbs up, great job.

The boys are back!!!

Having loved book 1, I couldn't wait to dive back into this world. And boy was I in for a rip roaring, heart breaking and utterly compelling ride!!

George and Lou are back!! When they are found and forced to take another job, they are naturally reluctant after the event of the last time! It's worse this time though, their target is a teenager who is a suspected werewolf. Even without the fact that another werewolf is involved, the boys don't like the fact that they have to abduct a girl. But, it's that or being murdered! What follows, of course, is another fast and furious, often times hilarious, often times heart breaking, adventure that you don't want to miss!

Once again, Jeff Hunt manages to create a darkly delicious read and one I devoured!! George and Lou are as amazing as last time, though this edition really pushes them both. It's darker than book 1, but I think it needed to be. The boys know more now than they did in book 1 so a lot of the levity is gone, yet there are still plenty of laugh out loud moments involving them. Then when they are introduced to a memorable character, the laughs come a little more often.

Also, damn Jeff Hunt!!! He ripped my heart out at a certain point. I was listening to it and was like NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! How could you!!!!!!! My poor heart couldn't take it. If you've read it, you know what part I'm on about, if not then go read these books NOW!!

Anyway, in all, this was an amazing sequel and I pray we haven't seen the last of these characters!! I went and bought some of this authors other work to see how they are, because if this series is anything to judge by, then I know I'll love the others. Highly recommend.

Again, Scott Thomas was amazing! He really brings each character to life. Every single character had their own tone and "personality" and it was extremely easy to follow who was talking at any one given time.

*I received a copy of this for review. This in no way affected my thoughts.*

More George & Lou!

Wolf Hunt 2 is way better than the first book. The first Wolf Hunt is fantastic and a lot of fun, but in this sequel, George and Lou steal the show! If you read the first book, then you know George and Lou are uproarious and simply wonderful. There are more werewolves in Wolf Hunt 2 along with so many great lines. I had a lot of laughs listening to this book! Scott Thomas’ narration is absolutely outstanding. I will probably never read the physical copies of these books because his performance brings everything to life, and he captures the essence of George and Lou so effortlessly.

Please tell me there will be a third book! There has to be!

great hunt

After the first book crushed me so much because of the boring, mouthy wolf, I am so excited with this one. It turned out perfectly! Thanks for a great read! When do I get to read the third?

Another Howling Good Time!

Once again, Scott Thomas delivers another wonderful narration of Jeff Strand's book, "Wolf Hunt 2." The voices are consistent, and although one part of the book was sad, the rest was very entertaining and this listener was not left bored. The comedy strewn here and there is priceless. This was another great production. Bravo, Scott Thomas!

wow 5 ++++ stars!!!!!! why is it over so soon?!?!

lately when I listen to a book I have been watching the time trickle by not really interested in the book. that all changed with this series. I have finished both book 1 and 2 in under a week with 3 small kids at home. that is no easy feat. I couldn't wait to listen to this. it actually made me excited to do the dishes to get some alone time to listen with my headphones lol

okay now let's talk about the actual book.
I am devastated by this....and if you have read this you know exactly what part I am talking about..... i loved the progression of these two books and the humor and constant surprises. I have fallen in love with these 2 mobsters :) Jeff strand is a genius and so is Scott Thomas for the narration. because of the excellent book I will be checking out more books from Jeff strand. I can't wait to dive in! and the same goes for Scott thomas, any book he narrates will be great!!! I have found my favorite male narrator! Finally!

the ending is left with a few unexplained questions and is left open for book 3.... please tell me there will be a book 3. I need more!!!!

Entertaining

This is not a literary work of art or terribly thought provoking. It IS however, an entertaining ride filled with witty dialog. The narrator did a phenomenal job with the different character's voices and gave them each their own personality. There was one particular character who was especially whiny and the narrator did such a good job portraying him, I could visualize myself slapping him upside the head!
