Summary

Following a maniacal fae mage through a portal to who-the-hell-knows-where may not have been the smartest idea.

I’m a go-with-the-flow kind of gal, so I make the most of it. Until that werewolf bite on my leg has other ideas. When I finally wake from my fever dreams, I find out I’m not in Miami anymore. In fact, I’m not in the human world at all.

Holy shit.

The people who’ve taken me underwing are part of a rebellion against the realm’s false queen, a woman who drove out and most likely murdered the entire royal family. I’m pretty impartial to all the politics, but the leader of the rebellion is giving Thane a run for his money on the hotness scale. And unlike the grim reaper, who I’m so unfortunately attracted to on a cosmic level, this new guy is very much alive.

None of that will matter if I don't help rescue my new friend Ivan from the mages’ clutches. Failing to do so means I may be stuck here....

Forever.

Fans of Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunters, Ilona Andrews’s Hidden Legacy, or Seanan McGuire’s InCryptid series will find The Last Phoenix a delightful new addition to the Urban Fantasy Romance genre. Scroll up and start the adventure today!

Wings of Magic is the fourth book of seven in The Last Phoenix series, a kickass urban fantasy romance containing fast-paced action, snarky humor, portal travel, a variety of shifters, a hearty dose of swearing, and a healthy splash of slow-burn romance.

Great

Great continuation of these characters. The growth of Vee's character is strong and the new storyline is unexpected but a good twist. I am looking forward to seeing the gang in more action. I am sad for the human realm team so was glad to see them in the epilogue.

My Favorite So Far!!

I could not wait to get my hands on this book after finishing the previous one!! That cliffhanger! This book starts off right where the last one ended, I recommend enjoying that one before this one.
I appreciated the change of pace in this book compared to the previous ones. It kept the series storyline interesting because it wasn't just another book set in Miami with the same villain. This time it's in a different realm and V learns so much more about herself and the species. The downside to this is that the secondary characters we know and love are not present in the story as much apart from V's thoughts.

The narrator does another great job with this book in the series!! I hope she continues with the last books! The only drawback with her narration was her Russian-esque accents, it was a little rough, but she still does a good job!

This book is part of a series. They need to be enjoyed in order to understand what happens (and to watch the characters grow!).

Wings of Magic

okay well shoot , I was not expecting that plot twist. but at least she got her revenge, and the person behind killing her brother. I'm just sad that the book ended like it did, I was hoping she would show up and get her bestfriend and her man before she was crown queen so they can share that happiness with her. anyway I can't wait for the next book to come out. again the narrator did an amazing job.

Wow

Our favorite FMC the last Phoenix continues to find yourself in dangerous situation's. Werewolf fights civil wars on a different realm. And of course if you've heard the previous three books the villain you love to hate are evil queen in this one.
We also find out a little bit more why Veronica is more than just the last Phoenix why she's so special. And then there's our favorite reaper. Who is more than he seems in hiding things as well. This book has something for everyone I highly recommend the series. You will not be disappointed when you get to this book.

Finally, we see the phoenix culture!

After being obsessed with mermaids for a while, this series now makes me obsessed with phoenixes and fire elementals. I love how the author continues Veronica's story: we had some big reveals about her history and this book is her catching up on that and filling in some new (BIG) roles. It's a bit different from the previous books, in the sense that Veronica spends most of her time in a different realm, so we get to see new characters and, most importantly, we finally get to know about phoenixes as a species/culture! I loved this! I can't wait for the next book, when Veronica will most likely try to combine her previous life with this new side to life she has just discovered. I really recommend this series.

Oh, Veronica.

The fourth book in this series did not disappoint! After the cliffhanger ending in book 3, Veronica ends up in a strange new world, which ends up having more phoenixes like her! And we finally unlock more secrets about who V really is! I can’t wait for more!
