A few years ago, Annie Worsley traded a busy life in academia to take on a small-holding or croft on the west coast of Scotland. Such vivid description, the reader could be there. Beautiful narration too. Lots of interesting information re plants and birds.

A truly beautiful book
I adored this book. Everything about it is beautiful. the audio voice over is perfect, the book is evocative, descriptive eloquent and probably one of the most beautiful books I've ever had read to me. The descriptive quality of the author is second to none.
