About this listen
Can he make this moment last a lifetime?
It’s been three years since Padraig lost his wife and since then, he’s been sleepwalking his way through each day, focusing only on work and family, while hanging out with his best friend, Emmy.
The sum equivalent of Emmy’s experience with relationships is contained within the pages of the romance novels she writes while sitting at the end of the bar at Pat’s Pub. That is if she doesn’t count the secret crush she’s been harboring for Padraig since the first day she laid eyes on him.
When Padraig realizes he’s in love with Emmy, they fall into each other’s arms. However, adversity strikes and Padraig–terrified of loving and losing again–pushes Emmy away. It will take the combined romantic efforts of the entire Collins’ family to help him win the heart of his best friend…and his second chance at happily ever after.

A beautiful ending for this series
This is the first series I've read/listened to by Mari Carr. I still need to buy the first four books, which I will do, and then I plan to relisten from book one all the way through on my next long trip. This book is bitter sweet in that it's the last of an excellent series, but it's also Padraig/Paddy second chance at a HEA after losing his wife. I adored Emmy. She gave so much of herself. I began this book with tears and ended it in tears. Joyful tears that had me deeply sighing wanting more. I certainly am not ready to say goodbye to the family I've become invested in. Now I'm off to see what else this author has written.
The narrators were excellent. They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head. Love it!

Finding each other
Emmy is a woman who’s a successful Roman writer but can’t find love for real but she has feelings for her best friend Padrig. Padrig is a widow who is finally starting to think about the rest of his life. When Emmy asks him out and he turns her down she vows to get on with her life with or without Padrig. Is he willing to lose something that can be life altering before it even begins that’s a decision on the bar for Padrig. This series about the Collin’s family is a treat and these characters are rich love this series.

ALL THE FEELS!
This book had me all up in my feels. I have come to love the Collin family and feel like I have gotten so invested in the lives of these fictional characters that I was on the same roller coaster of emotions that they were on. This book and series tugged at my heartstrings and grabbed hold of my heart from the very beginning.
After Paddy’s wife died, he became a shell of his old self. He was quiet and kept to himself and worked as a bartender at his family business. He became like a ghost, however, the moment Emmy came walking into his life and the moment they locked eyes, his world turned upside down and everything he knew and was used to, started changing. He started to change. He started to feel again and His heart started to beat again.
Emmy just made the best sellers list as a romance author but unfortunately, she kind of lives a lonely life. Her parents have passed away and her brother is in prison, so she didn’t have anyone to tell or celebrate with.
Struggling with writer's block one night, Emmy decides to go for a walk, taking her laptop with her. She finds herself at Collin’s bar, which happens to be where her parents went on their first date. Before long she finds herself in a conversation with Paddy and Paddy’s grandfather. This isn’t something she would normally do, she is out of her comfort zone. However, she had such a lovely time speaking with them both that she’s decided to come and back….
And that’s where I’m going to stop. You need to pick up the book and read it’s such an emotional, heartfelt book that had me swooning and almost emotional in some parts. I highly recommend giving this a read!

Loved the dual narration of Lee Daniels and Connor Brown
After three years after his wife's death Padraig is still not ready for love yet. He believes he will never be ready to let his heart love again. Emmy has had a crush on Paddy from the moment she stepped into the pub. Emmy askes Paddy out, but he rejects her . But she looking to find love. Padraig isn't happy, when Emmy uses the pub as a meeting place to make sure she is safe, but is that really the reason?

Second chance at happiness!
Mari Carr does it again with a second chance to find love. Padraig is still not ready for love yet. After the death of his wife, he isn't sure he will ever be ready to take the chance with his heart again. Emmy has had a crush on Paddy since she first set foot in the pub. Becoming part of the inner circle of the Collins family, she knows him well, but when he rejected her invitation to go out, she stayed on the fringe. Now she is looking for a date, and Padraig isn't happy. Using the pub as a meeting place to make sure she is safe seems like a good idea, but is that really the reason? I love this story. Seeing Padraig finally let his guard down is so satisfying, and I could feel his hesitancy. Emmy is sweet and real, very easy to relate to, and being a romance writer just endears her more. Having all the family pulling for them, along with Poppop's predictions just is icing on the cake. Another fantastic addition to this series.
Lee Daniels and Connor Brown continue their narration together. They are this family and I am so glad they keep coming back! Daniels is Emmy. She gives her all the emotions to her, keeping her believable. Brown is Paddy, releasing the jealousy, the fear and the love that his heart is feeling. Another fabulous performance I completely enjoyed.
