I loved Dr Julie’s ability to make heavy and difficult concepts simple and relatable. The use of anecdotes helped me think through some of the ideas and identify how I could apply these skills to my own life. I’m going to buy a physical copy of this book and have it by my bedside to refer back to, for both myself and for my children - simple ideas to reroute worry, fight off shame and live within our values. Thank you Dr Julie - a more important book I doubt I’ll ever find.

Absolutely great book! Simple and easy to understand and love that there is a chapter summary at the end of each chapter and exercises to work on. Definitely a book you could dip in and out of and use as a work book. the author's voice is also very soothing and comforting to listen to. Pitch and tone for the topic is perfect.

Dr Julie is truly gifted in how she takes human complexity and psychological theory and research and guides us through ways to be so much more effective and happy in ourselves. I personally like her acknowledgement that adopting a Positive Mindset all the time and reciting Personal Affirmations only works for some and can be detrimental to the confidence for many. And she offers alternative approaches that recognise our uniqueness and in my opinion will help more people.

Love the models and self-help tools she has included as pdfs. It all feels so do-able and has sparked an intrigue to understand myself more in areas I hadn't considered before.
