Wonderful Advice

So many things Victor Moody said resonated with me, and made me realise that even though my son is not like me, or anyone in our family, that if we keep on supporting, loving and encouraging him, he will "turn out" just fine. This book has given me excellent, practical guidance about communicating with my sometimes-sweet, sometimes-very difficult and defiant, boy. I can see why some of my communication methods don't work, and why some do. I would highly recommend that all parents who need a bit of encouragement and guidance read, or listen, to this book.

Fab narration, some good tips but…

There were some great tips in this audiobook. I need to work on not arguing for sure! However, despite the great narration and nuggets of wisdom I can’t really get on board with frequent mention of time outs, getting leverage for compliance and smacking being ok unless it’s happening a few times a month. My child has ADHD and anxiety. My gut tells me some of this would aggravate so probably wont be my go to strategies on the whole…
