AI dies with a whimper

Spoiler Alert!

Where to begin with the atrocity of the story?

The story deviates to alien world with alien tech that exists to create essentially a deus ex machina for the override that they got on terra but is burnt at their destination so the entire part of going to terra for the override was entirely pointless, that is 2 books rendered essentially pointless, except of course that it made 2 character pregnant WHAT A SURPRISE WAY TO INCREASE PERSONAL STAKES!

Then when they finally get to the master AI, sure it is a sodding slaughter and a decent build up to the MAI but holy crap it the MAI is such a humongous let down, it is entirely personality free, the many before had a personality but this one was so bland! It was NOT a worthy opponent in the end.

Then at the end, the entire thing is turned around and their accomplishment undone to set up for next stories.

The story is a massive disappointment. THe series over all is decent but the end here is a dud.

Good characters though, stayed true. Veronicas narration is spot on, best female narrator to do male characters I have listened to, 5/5 stars for her performance.
