Summary
If you could change history, would you?
College graduate Josephine "Josie" Jackson answers "yes" to the question on a survey while visiting the Old West tourist town of Tombstone. The next morning, she wakes up in Indian Territory in the 1840s, where she's given a mission to complete before she can return to her time: to reset history, and prevent the deaths of hundreds of thousands over the next century, by convincing the man responsible for kindling the war between settlers and natives to stay home on the day he's supposed to start the war.
But someone is hunting down time travelers and killing them. Three other women have been sent back to the same time period with Josie's mission. When she stumbles upon what happened to them, she realizes the chances of her getting out of the past alive are not good.
To survive, she'll have to trust the person who's there to stop her from changing history, someone who has every reason to distrust her and only one reason to help her - to save her from the mysterious man who sent her back in time to start with.

Fans of Dr Who- This is for you!
What did you like most about West?
Beautifully written and narrated story of a young woman who meets mysterious genius. After a heavy drinking session, mysterious genius offers her a chance to travel back in time to help stop a million people dying. The catch? She must find two men whilst solving a mystery of why she has really been sent back in time-and who wants to stop her. Permanently!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Carter- the mysterious genius has a real hidden depth and I laughed out loud at the conversations between him and Josie.
What about Lillian Yves’s performance did you like?
The narrator was brilliant. She really brought the story to life and differentiated the different characters.
Any additional comments?
I thought the story was engrossing and I couldn't help myself and bought the following 2 books on kindle so I could find out what happens next! Highly recommend!

Time travel, Love, Murder - Perfect!
Where does West rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book ranks very highly - it's the perfect match between narrator and main character which is very important when it comes to choosing between print and audio.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favourite character was Josie - she's incredibly kind and empathetic, almost to a fault but at the same time she knows how to get what she wants.
Which character – as performed by Lillian Yves – was your favourite?
Definitely Josie, though I was very impressed with the range of accents in this book and how sensitively they were done.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
LIZZY FORD AND LILLIAN YVES MADE ME CRY. It started somewhere in the last third of the book and didn't stop until about an hour after the book ended, I'm still dehydrated and need a hug.
Any additional comments?
This book is the perfect introduction to time traveling fiction - I was dubious when I started but I'm 100% sold on the concept now.

Time Travelling Story with Elements of a Thriller
Lizzy Ford has managed to capture the imagination of her audience with this captivating plot. Recently graduated Josie Jackson is tricked into agreeing to travel back in time with chips in her brain to help her with communicating with the "natives." Her mission is unclear. Her destination is the west. Her clues are Taylor Harris and Running Bear. The resulting trip is fraught with confusion and shroud in mystery. With rival time travellers, the communicating dead, several missing women and potential murders, there is a definite feel of a thriller. Perhaps the best part is that Josie's time travels have only begun. This is the start of a very interesting and promising series.

Unexpectedly good!
Time travel romance is my favourite genre, but I somewhat got bored of all typical english knights or especially highlanders, so here I got a fresh breath, as it was different setting and totally unpredictable. Couldn’t stop listening!
This book was everything I needed: action, twists, mystery, romance, unexpected end...
And apparently it’s not a stand alone, as I thought, but I am more than happy about it and dying to read the second book 😍
