Story
Reid Barclay doesn't have time for Christmas, not with trouble brewing at the Crown Seven Ranch. He's got prize thoroughbreds to protect and a long-ago wrong that he wants to make right. But the beautiful cook who's taken over the ranch kitchen is a welcome distraction, even if Ellie Jo Cade burns everything from gingerbread to roast beef. Story
Hope Montoya knows someone is poisoning her, but who? She suspects her mother was also poisoned and knows her father was murdered. Who wants her family eliminated? She vows to fight! She realizes she won't last the eight months until she turns twenty-five and her uncle no longer controls her or her estate. Never will she be dominated by a man as she was by her father, as she has seen her mother and grandmothers dominated. If she marries, she gains control now, but only if she weds a man she can trust.

Story
As if he doesn't have enough to handle between running outlaws out of Cheyenne, keeping his brothers out of trouble, and avenging his father's death, Sheriff Sawyer McCade's meddling mother just dumped a mysterious mail-order bride on his doorstep. One woman can be more trouble than a band of renegades, and while this one has him all stirred up, he'd rather get to the bottom of the story she isn't telling. Rose Parker had it all - until a web of danger and deceit sends her running to Cheyenne posing as a mail-order bride. Escaping the evils of New York seems sensible until she meets the unsuspecting sheriff who didn't ask for her, has no intention of marrying her, and won't rest until he uncovers her secret and sends her back home.

Story
Tainted by scandal, Raven Eyez leaves New York to return to her mother's hometown of Heartsbridge, Texas. If that wasn't bad enough, she reads in a celebrity magazine that her childhood sweetheart, who broke her heart five years ago, is getting married. The stress is unbearable, and when she starts hearing voices whispering for her to right a wrong she has no recollection of making, she's sure she is going mad. Things go from weird to completely unbelievable when an innocent trip to a diner leaves her stranded in Heartsbridge in the year 1880.

Story
There was trouble in Haven, Arizona, and Ranger Sam O'Ballivan was determined to sort it all out. He arrived posing as the new schoolteacher, and his first order of business was to bring the rough ranchers' children under control. To that end, he called on Maddie Chancelor, the local postmistress, whose younger brother was in firm need of discipline. Sam wasn't sure what to expect - but it was definitely not this graceful woman whose prim, proper stance was so at odds with the fire in her eyes.

Maggie Sutton will risk anything to escape her fate, though accompanying the broad-shouldered sheriff in his pursuit of Daisy rattles her to the core. But as their search - and desire for one another escalates, the two provoke a vicious bounty hunter, one who threatens their hopes for a future together....

Nice story line, shame about the end
Where does In a Cowboy's Arms rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
In the middle I guess. It wasn't the worst, it wasn't the best. The story dragged on a bit and there was no real conclusion at the end.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
What ending? It didn't close any of the main story line at all. I felt a bit cheated.
What does J. Rodney Turner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
His incredible accent. Great narrator, he really was able to bring all the characters to life.
Any additional comments?
As I said, it was an OK book. The story line dragged on a bit and then never concluded. To be honest I was left feeling a bit ripped off after investing so many hours into listening to not get a proper end to the story.

Wonderful
I loved this story. The characters were great. The story was smooth, interesting and kept me wanting to keep listening. It was so well written. The narrator was wonderful, just the right person to do this story. I recommend it to all. You won't regret it. I received it as an arc and this is my voluntary review.
