About this listen

"Life on the inside" takes on a whole new meaning. A riot has broken out at Twin Towers Jail. Simeon, five of his fellow inmates, and the prison guards assigned to them have found themselves trapped in the inescapable confines of T-block during the lockdown. Boundaries of trust are pushed to the limit, as the survivors must learn to work together if they have any hope of escaping the horde of infected and the deadly secret that lies within Twin Tower's walls.

We're Alive: Lockdown serves as both a standalone and continuation of the We're Alive: A Story of Survival series. It answers questions, asks new ones, and keeps the listener guessing right up until the bitter end.

What is "audio theater for the mind?" Think of it as a type of show that you can play in your head, guided by the narrative but carried by your imagination. Unlike film or television, an audio drama has the power to strike a deeper emotional connection with the audience.

gripping

I'm enjoying using my imagination, but wish they would mention characters names more, as some of the blokes sound the same to me. didn't get the ending so I'll listen again. loved it.

A continuation of brilliance

Loved it. Six hours of intense audio drama that works as a stand-alone piece and also as something that listeners to the original series will revel in. A memorable bunch of characters and superb acting all round. Bravo KC Wayland and co!

Great spin-off

I loved the concept of a prison escape while overrun by zombies, combined with the origin story of the bald tattooed crazy guy. Definitely worth a listen.

Best in the series!

A few times it was a little hard to tell what was happening due to background noise and too many things going on at once.

However, this was a gripping story, well-acted, with a genuine sense of peril. I really cared about the characters- they felt real and were developed as individuals.

It was much, much better written than the previous episodes in the series and very believable.

More like this, please!

Another book in the Amazing Series of We're Alive

Total greatness , its how it all started. New look in to the story of We're Alive , this tells you how and when it all went lose. Just so good !

Note : You can start with this one and then listen to the We're Alive audio books. but you can also do this one after your done , its not a follow up story from the original , its the beginning of it all.

Unexpectedly really enjoyed

I wasn’t sure as to whether to continue even though the books 1-4 were really good as it was a change of characters but I honestly enjoyed it. Kept me awake shaking my phone and not lulling me off.
