Summary

Hotelier Stephen Sanderson is dead. Stabbed after hosting a police officer’s wedding. Chief Superintendent David Ashworth is a family friend of the victim and assigns the case to Meredith. Sanderson had a past that the family would rather keep quiet if it’s not related to his murder, but Sanderson’s life style provides the police with many suspects, including some in his own family.

Patsy Hodge is trying to track down a dangerous stalker with very little to go on, and is surprised when one of her suspects is required to supply an alibi for one of Meredith’s.

As their investigations gather pace, it is revealed that all their suspects are connected one to another in a web of deceit.

Who will untangle the web, and will it be in time to stop others being harmed?

If you like to get caught up in an exciting murder mystery this is the book for you. Grab your copy today!

We meet DCI John Meredith as he catches the case of a hotelier murdered during the wedding of Louie and Linda. The hotelier has a past his family would like to be kept quiet. But has he was nasty person the suspect list is very long. As Meredith works the case, so does Patsy, a PI, who is working a stalker case; find that their cases have cross over. Patsy’s and Meredith’s relationship, is full of respect and humour. Great pacing of the plot and the twists and keeps you guessing. Will keep you on your toes. Loved the narration of Lee Beddow, perfect for this book.

One of my favourite series

Waited so long for this audio edition of Web of Deceit and it was well worth the wait.

The books are so well written - great plots (so close but didn't work it out) - great characters and lots of humour.

The narration is so good - Lee Beddow helps to bring the characters to life without detracting from the story.

Thoroughly enjoyed and cannot wait for the next book in the series to be on audible.

A solid 5 stars

I was given a free copy of this audiobook by the author at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

You know what it's like; you finish the latest book in a series that you really love and then have a long wait for the next one to come along. Well the ebook version of this one came out a while ago but I prefer audiobooks and listening to them while driving hundreds of miles in the work van makes the day pass much more enjoyably. So I waited patiently (mostly) for the audio version to be released. Was it worth the wait? Oh yes, definitely.

Most of the usual characters make an appearance (just Amanda missing I think) and the team work and play well together with some hilarious banter which had me laughing behind the wheel. The story moves along nicely and as always is well written comes together perfectly.

Lee Beddows narrates once again and nails all the different voices and accents so the characters are easy to distinguish and relate to.

A solid 5 stars for this. Can't wait for the next.
