About this listen
When a storm wreaks havoc on bookish Lena's well-ordered world, her laid-back new neighbor, Megan, offers her a room. The trouble is they've been clashing since the day they met. How can they now live under the same roof? Making it worse is the inexplicable pull between them that seems hard to resist. A quirky romance, laced with classic British humor, about the power of opposites attracting.
Contains mature themes.

Sweet and hapless
Awkward encounters, excrutiating embarassment, terrible sex - I really loved it 😁
My only gripe is the representaional headless women on the cover - I know these things are done to try to reach a bigger audience but the main charater descriptions did not match up at all. And I truly want to see 'real' women like those described in the book who were refreshingly flawed. Publisher/designer did not do justice to the story. IMO 😊
But I thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook, fun and relatable. Great narration too.

A nice story but….
I really liked the Megan character with her imperfections that made me laugh out loud but Lena is such an irritating character and quite unpleasant right until the end when she has a miraculous and unbelievable turnaround.
This isn’t a book I’ll listen to again, I struggled to get to the end to be honest.

Imperfect people
It’s so nice to read a book where the characters maintain their imperfections rather than the ‘right’ person suddenly and miraculously curing them.
Such lovely characters and story.

A good story
Good characters and a story that moves along quite nicely and kept my interest to the end, recommended.
I would have liked an epilogue I know the characters are fictional but it's good to know how they are getting on.

Nice story
I read the book some time ago and was excited to see the audio was available, while the story is still good the narration was nice except some very dodgy accents Scottish Irish wasn't sure but still worth a listen.

Predictable but a great listen
The book is witty with some laugh out loud moments as the 2 main characters navigate their new relationship. Character development is interesting with common insecurities coming out through the protagonists.
I would call this a holiday read, Nothing too taxing or hard to grasp plot wise, just a bit of a comedic lesbian romance which had me engaged from start to finish.
