About this listen
Keep my head down and make it through my final year of school without attracting any attention. That was my plan.
The thing about plans? They change.
One day, I was an invisible loner, the next, my name was on everyone’s lips.
Why? I caught the attention of the wrong person.
I tricked Carter Blackthorne, the king of Alstone High.
He found out.
And now?
Now, he’s making me pay.
It’s time for you to pay the price. You tricked me once, but you won’t trick me twice. Ready or not, here I come....Trick Me Twice is a standalone new adult high school romance with bullying and enemies-to-lovers themes. This book contains mature situations and content.

Trick Him Once, but Don't Trick Him Twice
This was my first Becca Steele book and I absolutely loved it!!
Raine, the quiet shy girl. She has one friend and is just trying to make it through High School. Then that one friend convinces her to break out of her shell. Her life is forever changed after her first night of trying to be “regular”.
Carter, the Captain of the Football team and the King of Alstone High. He is in such denial of how he feels about this girl that according to him is not in his league.
Raine tricked Carter once, but will she dare to do it a second time?
I enjoyed watching Carter have his ah ha moments. I enjoyed Raine finally breaking out of her shell. And the whole cat and mouse thing was awesome.
IMO, this story was on the lighter side of a bully romance. It’s not as dark and brutal as some of the ones out there. But that didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the entire story and plot. There was a little mystery thrown in with some twists that just made the story flow so well.
So, will I be reading Becca Steele again, you betcha!!
I listened to the audio and the Narrators were perfect for their parts. Stephanie Nemeth-Parker just had such a sweet tone and really brought Raine’s emotions to life. Gregory Salinas did a great job changing voices for all the male characters, even the one with the American accent.
Audio ARC received and I decided to leave an honest review.

Brilliant
These characters are written so very well. With great chemistry these characters are likeable. A brilliant performance from both narrators but Gregory is really shining for me at the moment.

Duet Narration!
Trick Me Twice is an intense high school bully romance between Carter and Raine. While I don't know what Raine could possibly see in Carter, I enjoyed the storyline with its mysterious happenings along with a few twists and turns. While this story is a standalone, several of the side characters come from the series The Four so if you love that series, you should definitely check out this one as well. Gregory Salinas and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker both did a wonderful job bringing this story to life with their duet narration.

4stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I dont want this to come across as a bad review because its not but i have to be honest.... I liked but not loved this audio, i scored 4stars because i struggled with the british accents- dont get me wrong im british myself but they sounded far too posh and well spoken for me (just my opinion)... after awhile i did get used to the voices but i just couldnt get past my initial thought. I didnt stop listening to it though and im glad because the story itself was good, i enjoyed the light bullying and the back and forth drama with Carter and Raine. I was really rooting for them!!
Lots of potential stories for other characters too😍

Trick Me Twice
I had the opportunity to listen to an early copy of this audio book. I love a good high school bully romance. Carter is the captain of the football team and Raine is a nobody that lives nextdoor. Carter has a little bit of resentment towards Raine due to his parents always comparing them. During the Fright Night shenanigans Raine catches Carter's eye, but he doesn't know it's her. This is a great enemies-to-lovers/ bully romance. Gregory Salinas and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker did an absolutely wonderful job narrating these characters. This is a standalone with HEA.

A good starter bully romance
3.5 stars. This wasn't a bad book by any means. I especially liked the cameos from The Four. If I wasn't such a seasoned bully romance reader, I for sure would be singing this books praises to the moon. As such, I think this is solid enough for what it is and you can't go wrong with this as a jumping off point. It's fast paced and plenty of drama to keep you hooked. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

Trick Me Twice
Okay this book was really good, I like the way it started lol. I've been doing so many bully romance novels, but I have to admit that I really enjoyed this one, I like the idea that he didn't know who she was and how he kinda opened up to her. For so many years she tired to be unseen, but that didn't work and when he found out that the girl he Caught that night was the one he's been picking on this whole time. Then he turns and makes her life helll, until he starts to fall . That end ending was great. The narrator's did an amazing job too.

It was good!
The begging of the book was really good, and quite promising it kept me interested and wanted to keep going. Unfortunately the rest of the book wasn't as good, it was just getting so repetitive, and it started to drag a bit and I quite lost the interest but managed to keep going.
The relationship between them was ok, I was expecting more, but I didn't quite feel the love or chemistry between them.
Now, for the narration, it was really amazing. I loved that it was done in duet style, because it enchance the story so much more. Both narrators were fantastic in their performances I really loved it

Trick Me Twice
I absolutely loved this book. It’s not as dark as some from Becca Steele but boyyo she sure writes angst, bully romance to perfection!
Raine and Carter Blackthorn are the main characters at Alstone High again. Where we met the Four. This book is a direct spinoff of The Four. We’re treated to the whole gang peeking in here. But especially Cassius.
I could relate to Raine in how she hides from others and just tries to make it through high school. Her infatuation for the boy next door is dreams only because Carter despises her. Carter is forced to drive Raine to and from school and he makes sure to degrade her each way. She shy and mainly friendless except for one girl who sees the girl just wanting to come out into the world. That friendship is amazing and really helps Raine break into herself.
The Flight Night party is a brilliant place to find herself while still being hidden. Wow the attraction and steamy tension between her and Carter was awesome.
Becca really knows how to write bully romance and here she gives us mystery and surprises that add to the storyline.
The Narration is amazing. Gregory Salinas has just the most amazing ability to sound British and holds my emotions and feelings in each book that I hear him do. Stephanie has a voice to showcase the innocence of Raine and I felt all of the emotions with her performance as well. Awesome writing. Amazing writing and just the ticket for getting away from it all for a while.

Loved the Narrators
I really enjoyed listening to this book, the narrators voices were swoon worthy. I haven’t listened to too many audiobooks with accents and I loved the difference that this one had because of it.
I really enjoyed the story and the development of the characters. I had a feeling of what the plot twist would be as the book went on, but it was still a shocking surprise when it happened.
I was just given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review.
