Great book
loved it, good pace and accurate accents by the narrator. Kept you wondering about the suspect's guilt or not until the end.

Let down at end
Lynda La Plante is a GREAT writer and this book was no exception. Her characters are believable (just) and her dialogue was read - with accents - in an engaging way. But the plotting and courtroom action let’s this book down. For me.
When I did jury service we were instructed to weigh the evidence and facts - not just rely on prejudice and gut feelings.Decisions took time.
This book comes too fast to an unsatisfying end and spoon fed the conclusion - despite unresolved issues. Maybe parts 2 and 3 are in progress? Maybe a later volume will remove the “so what” impression that made me feel I’d lost time unproductively.

Good read
All in all I did enjoy this book, I thought I had it sussed who it was, but I was wrong... Very suspenseful..

Brilliant Listen
I really enjoyed this and it was a bit different from the other audiobooks from La Plante. The story was great and fantastically well read by Mace. I’ll be looking forward to the next one in this particular series.

Don't want to spoil it
I felt terribly let down and deflated by the ending. It was like an England football team penalty shootout.
I'm sure most people will like it but it annoyed me.
