About this listen

Reese Conlon’s much anticipated family leave is only two weeks away, and nothing is going to stand in the way of her being at her wife’s side for the upcoming birth—not even the summer crowds in Provincetown, a new rookie cop with a hero complex, and a cruise ship at anchor in the harbor with a reported outbreak of a mysterious illness.

Andy Champlain might be a rookie cop, but she was raised by a family of cops, and she’s ready to take on any challenge, if she only gets the chance. With a disaster brewing in Provincetown Harbor, a journalist who’ll do anything for a story, and sexy summer PA, Laurel Winter, at the local clinic, she’s about to have all the excitement she can handle.

Before long, Reese, Tory, Laurel, and Andy are caught up in the gathering storms of an epidemic that could threaten all their lives.

why change

Would have to say not sure why the narrator was changed, I do love Lori Prince but not for this book. story was good but again narrator put me off, if there is going to be more please go back to the original narrator of the previous 7 books.

Good storyline but narrator not as good Abby

We listened to the whole of the series and really enjoy Abby as the narrator, but was disappointed that the last book was narrated by Lori - who we nearly did not listen to - it was only that we were interested in the characters.
Let’s hope this is not the last book in the series as it’s a great series.

Well worth a listen

I really enjoyed the whole Province Town series. For me the only let down was having the final book narrated by someone different!

Great story.

Fantastic story line that continues the daily struggles of Provincetown, enthralling me and leaving me wanting more. I love this series and I enjoy the characters daily lives that were expertly crafted together.
Lori Prince was exceptional in her performance and brought together the characters expertly and definitely would like to listen to more from her. Well done.❤

Review

The write up about the book has nothing to do with the story. They have confused it with another book. Audible please sort this out.
Kinda disappointing as not much mentioned about some of the old characters .
Expected more..
But an OK listen

Great story brought to life by the narrator

This is a treat of a story from Provincetown with the author giving it more emotional depth and humour than others in the series. Lori Prince's narration, although not without some errors, brings out the humour in this story with her lightness of touch.
Even though it felt strange for a little while, I welcomed the change to LP for narrator particularly as part of the story is loosely based on the Covid pandemic, which holds such traumatic memories for so many. Her ability to bring out the elements of tongue in cheek humour, as the relationship between the two principal characters grows, is something lacking in the previous Provincetown audiobooks and saves this one from descending into pathos.

poor quality

struggled to stick with it. professional intelligent women who squeak, or else sound like they o'd on testosterone! and Kate sounds like she was stoned.
Nice to follow the lives of Tori & Reece, but it was a disappointment for me.

Great story wrong narrator

Loved the story despite it being different to the one described by Audible!!! I cannot for the life of me understand why they changed the Narattor though. Much prefer Nicol Zanzarella, please get her back for the last one!!

I loved the storyline and the new characters. Can't wait for the next one but please use Nicole Zanzarella.
