Summary
Dr. Lily Davenport is the poster child for burnout—physically and emotionally. All she wants is a few months of nondemanding work at a summer camp, of all places, so she can figure out what to do with the rest of her life. The last thing she expects is to run into a woman who awakens a passion she hadn’t even realized had died along with all those she’d failed to save.
Forest ranger Chase Fielder is not in the market for a relationship. Counting on people never leaving is for fools. A fling with Lily promises to be exactly what Chase is looking for—short-term, hot as a forest fire, and one Chase can extinguish whenever she wants. Now all she has to do is convince Lily they’re a perfect match.
After all, it’s only one summer.

As usual Radclyffe has produced another heart warming romance. The narrator has done it justice.

Love the author but terrible narration
I love Rad books and I don't want to lower any author's star rating so I wont do that. Buuut why are all the top Lesfic authors latest books using the same narrator?? At least mix it up or something. I couldnt finish this so I have no idea about the actual story... Radclyffe et al please use another narrator... whatever happened to Betsy Zajko or Nicole Zanzarella?

Very weak and boring
A thin plot padded out with superfluous details which added nothing except to the word count…I hope Radclyffe isn’t suffering from long coved, if this was the first of her books which I had read I would buy another,

Another one.
I've been listening to Radclyffe audiobooks since the day I found audible and I'm not stopping now, another wonderful sweet low angst romance with fun characters.

another success
Radclyffe does it again, not only in writing romance, but underlying the point of covid 19s' effect on health workers, thousands are leaving the profession worldwide with PTSD symptoms.
Lily and Chase are lost souls finding life in the wilderness preferable to the madness of this age, yet still caring enough for people and nature
Lula Larkin is an underrated narrator who gives an excellent range of character voices with the emotion needed at any point in story, and I just love her Lilly tone
beautiful low angst listen I'll read again

Meh…
I didn’t get the spark between the 2 MCs. Zero chemistry and I found the story to be quite boring, honestly.
I really enjoy Radclyffe’s series, all of them, but I just didn’t feel this book.
Lula Larkin does a good job narrating.
Others may enjoy this one, so don’t be dissuaded by my lack luster review.

disappointing
I have eagerly devoured everything Radclyffe has written and was really looking forward to this one, but it did not live up to my expectations. In all fairness, it may have been the terrible narration but I'm not really sure.

Great story - wrong narrator
This is definitely not the narrator for a Radclyffe book. Great story, but hard to listen to.

There’s something in Radclyffe’s
Portrayal of masculine-of-center characters that smacks of outdated paradigms and misogyny. What worked in Fated Love falls flat in this retooled template of lesbian romance. And it’s ampules, not amples.

Compelling storytelling
As usual Radclyffe’s storytelling draws the listener in and keeps you wanting more. Her character’s are relatable and intriguing. You immediately feel as if you know the characters and you want to see them overcome their challenges and celebrate their victories.

Burn Out
Dr Lily Davenport is a total burn out due to years of fighting the pandemic in New York City. She agreed to be the camp doctor for the summer at a friend’s forest camp for teens. Forest Ranger Chase Fielder is not looking for a relationship but a summer relationship wold be great. A book on the pain of the pandemic and recovery from pain and burnout. Great characters and stories. Marvelous narration.

Loved this book
In fact I don’t think I listened to a Radclyffe book I didn’t like :) I want to read the sequel, I hope she is preparing one.
I loved the MC and the two young ones and their story as well.
