About this listen

From USA Today best-selling authors Kimberly Knight and Rachel Lyn Adams comes an MM enemies-to-lovers sports romance with first times and secret hook-ups that will leave you begging for more. And good thing, since Traded is the first audiobook in a duet, and the story concludes in Outed.

Aron Parker is one of the best players in professional baseball. Following in his father’s footsteps, his entire life revolves around the game. Opponents call him cocky, and they aren’t wrong, but no one knows the driving force behind his arrogance.

Until he has to play nice with his enemy.

Drew Rockland is the epitome of calm and collected on the mound. As a veteran player, he knows what it takes to pitch under pressure while keeping his emotions in check.

Until he faces Aron and loses his cool.

Aron’s showboating and Drew’s old-school ballplayer demeanor instantly put them at odds resulting in an all-out brawl on the field and a suspension. After the fight, all should have been forgotten, but an unexpected trade places them on the same team…and in the same apartment.

Off the field, there is no one to pull them apart...

But maybe they prefer it that way.

Batter (and other things 😉) up! These guys want to play with balls

It has been a long while since I have read Kimberly Knight story, and Rachel Lyn Adams is a new to me author, but what a way to get back to it.

I mean, you had me at enemies to lovers sport stars.

I mean, I know nothing about baseball except that it takes like 74 hours to play a game and they were tight pants haha, but I did enjoy Traded very much.

I love the snark and spark between Aron and Drew. Their fighting really is a form of foreplay, and when they do something about it, is a home run.

I am not usually a fan of the GFY, especially when they have been manwhores before they meet their guy. However this pair wormed their way into my heart with their questioning and confusion and finding their trust in each other.

Of course we aren't without our drama, and ugh, why is it always this thing. Booo to that. I liked how (so far) it is being dealt with, but I can see that things are going to get interesting in part 2.

There was a bit of a cliffy, but was expected since this is the first part of a duet, so I am curious to see how things play out in part 2

Both narrators are new to me, but it won't be theclast time I seek out their work.

I look forward to the next installment of the series

Awesome Story & Narration🎧Steamy & Captivating!

This fantastic enemies to lovers sports romance grabbed my attention right from the start and held it the entire book. It is the first book in a duet so it leaves you hanging and wanting more, I hope the second book is out on audio soon because I need to know what happens next for these two characters, Aron Parker and Drew Rockland. They are major league baseball players on opposing teams, Drew, the veteran of the two, loses his cool and slams Aron with a pitch that turns in to a brawl and then a suspension for both of them. But that is not the worst of it, mid-season trades bring them to the same team, at the same time and wind up having to share the same apartment. The timing of the trade worked out well for Drew since he just ended things with his girlfriend, Jasmine, after walking on her cheating on him. What he wasn’t expecting was this mad attraction he felt towards Aron, with Aron feeling the same. It was great watching these two navigate their bi-awakening and relationship, and watch it grow the more they got to know each other and stopped denying their feelings. It was all new, and they were keeping it to themselves, but when Drew’s past comes back to haunt him he is not sure how he wants to handle it and Aron, who has some issues, makes his feeling known about it. This is a fast-moving story, the plotting and pacing is great and it has the perfect balance of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Kimberly Knight and Rachel Lynn Adams, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Liam DiCosimo and Tim Paige were the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. These two made a great team and their performance knocked it out of the park. Their portrayal of the characters was spot on and they set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

No crying in baseball

This was such an intense and crazy hot enemies, to forced proximity to super hot lovers. Ending in an awkward cliffhanger I absolutely can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next.

Heartwarming and sweet with a side of heat

This is a delightful little, MM Sports romance from two authors who I have never read before. They managed the ultimate achievement with me, which is that I definitely will be reading the next book in the series because I want to find out what happens to Aron and Drew. Oh yeah, be warned this book ends on a cliffhanger to be continued in Book 2 - Outed.

This is the story of two professional Baseball players, Aron the young arrogant and cocky who is driven by the need to be the best in the game. He is a player and not interested in relationships. Then there is Drew the slightly older veteran player who is renowned for being calm and collected and in a long term relationship with his model girlfriend. Then one game the two meet and sparks fly, not that kind, they end up having an actual fight and become enemies (not this this is entirely completely explained but lets go with it).

Then both are traded to the same team and are forced to work together for the good of the team and share an apartment...now cue the other kind of sparks....I won't go into plot details as, spoilers :) But let's just say the book then goes into a mutual bi-awakening plot and what I particularly liked with the way this was dealt with in this story is that, instead of a long drawn out angst denial ridden bi-awakening both Drew and Aron seem to pretty much just go with it. I really liked this approach, very refreshing. Obviously each to their own and I like all types of stories but it was nice that they didn't seem to waste too much time being guilt ridden at suddenly being OMG I can't be attracted to a guy but instead they pretty much just accepted they were attracted to each other and went from there.

The pacing in this story I found a bit erratic with the first quarter of this book being a bit slow and I found it initially hard to connect with Aron and Drew but then this gradually evens out and then almost does a 180 and rushes through the beginning of their tryst and relationship. But having said that I still really enjoyed it, I became invested and really routing for these two so I will definitely be reading the next one. They both go on such an emotional journey on this one from where they started that I am intrigued as to where it will go next.

I listened to the audiobook of this one which I think added a lot, I might not have been quite as invested if I had just read the kindle. This is read by two, new to me narrators, Liam DiCosimo as Aron and Tim Paige as Drew and they both give exceptional performances and make me really believe in this burgeoning love story. They put such heart and pathos into these two and draw out the backstories and vulnerability that I loved listening to this. Both are now on my to follow narrator lists :)

This is short but enjoyable enemies to lovers MM romance with toned down angst which is perfect for a quick fix of your favourite trope. Definitely worth a read!

MM Enemies To Lovers Sports Romance

Traded by Kimberly Knight and Rachel Lyn Adams is a MM enemies to lovers sports romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Liam DiCosimo and Tim Paige. This is the first book in the Off The Field Duet.

This is the first book of Kimberly and Rachel's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am loving the chemistry between Aron and Drew. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to read the next book in the series Outed to get the rest of their story.

Liam and Tim did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like MM romances, enemies to lovers romances, or sports romance.

Super sweet sporty story

This is such a super sweet story. There are quite a few emotional scenes and some extra steamy bits. Love this sporty story about two guys exploring their sexuality and ultimately breaking down self imposed barriers to open themselves up to love. Can’t wait to hear what happens next

1.5 stars for the story

struggled with this one. I really really wanted to like this one, but sadly, this was not the best, and I won't continue with the sequel. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the main characters. The first half was terrible and totally irrelevant, and suddenly, they kiss literally out of nowhere, there was no spark. the story was sooo slow and I found myself skipping so much. Narrators were doing and ok job, but I have heard waaay better.
