Summary

The darkness holds more than just secrets....

Marked for death, Sabine escaped from her home more than ten years ago.

But the Wild Hunt will never give up.

It should have been easy to stay hidden. All Sabine had to do was keep her head down, avoid telling anyone about her past, and above all else—not let her glamour drop.

Even the best-laid plans eventually fall apart.

When a charismatic stranger arrives in the city, Sabine finds herself unwittingly drawn to the power she can sense hidden within him. Keeping her distance is nearly impossible, especially after a life debt is called due and she’s tasked into helping steal a rare artifact.

Sabine is the only one who can break the magical barriers protecting the item, but that means revealing the truth about her identity and exposing her darkest secrets.

Unfortunately, the Fae aren’t the only ones hunting her.

And the most dangerous monsters aren’t always confined to the dark.

Unputdownable

Sabine pulled me right into her story and didn't let up for a second. Hiding her true nature, while balancing a couple of demons and a charismatic stranger, she touches an entire city with her warm heart, while scaring the cr@p out of them. This is the perfect blend of epic fantasy and romance, complete with fae, demons, dragons, pixies and more. Meg Price's narration is flawless and really brings the story to life.

So much going on!!!

This book has so much going on. I was a little confused to begin with but the characters soon shone through and I got the feel of the story. A great performance.

I thought this narrator did an all-around amazing job.⭐️ 👏

Sabine is a Fae in hiding. She's being hidden in a city by two demon brothers. One is the leader of a gang of thieves, Dax, the other of assassins Bane. Their magic helps to mask her own. Her best friend, Esmelle, is a human witch with a dryad in her history somewhere, and Blossom was her first pixie in the city of Akros.🫶

When a ship's captain, Malek, intrigues Sabine and is captivated by her in turn, things begin to change in her life and the city. Are they destined to aid one another? When news reaches Dax that her original saviour and guardian, Balkin, is on his way with bad news from Faerie, everything starts to unravel.💥

This was so engrossing. It's a complete slow burn, and I didn't care one bit.😍
