About this listen
Adair Finch is the most powerful warlock in the world, and one of the best private investigators for hire.
He has dealt with corporate vampires, murderous werewolves, and even fae royalty. Everything was perfect until he lost one case—the case where he also lost his brother.
So Finch retired. From magic. From PI work. From everything.
Bree Blackstone, a twelve-year-old witch, doesn’t know or care about any of that except Finch’s reputation. In the middle of the night, she bangs on Finch’s door. Her mother has been murdered, and now the assassin is after Bree as well.
Reluctantly, Finch agrees to help, only to discover something sinister has been brewing in town while he ignored the world… He’ll need to dust off all his old skills and magic before it’s too late.

The best fantasy author 2024
I simply love everything about this new release, characters, setting, pase, everything is just sublime, and I hope Shami will continue evolving this new universe of hers. It's crazy how many well written titles she is able to release every year. I can now safely say I have found my new favorite auther. Oh! And if you don't already, you will absolutely love pigeons after reading this book!!!!

Dresden Files meets Groundhog Day
Nicely done! This is a detective novel with magic splashed in for good measure.
It took some time to pickup but when it did it was a wild ride.
I'm looking forward to the next one. I can see lots of potential with the characters and world setup here

Highly entertaining start to a new series
Going in, I only knew two things; Soundbooth Theatre hasn't let me down yet, and the name Time-Marked Warlock strongly implied time-related shenanigans. (Time-related shenanigans are my favourite kind.)
Well, that and the other reviews were positive.
I can confirm I very much enjoyed this book and will continue the series, when I can - I like the cast, the worldbuilding, and obviously the voice cast too 😁

Dresden meets time loops
This was a great start to what hopefully becomes an amazing magical crime thriller. I won't lie when i found out this had a similar vibe to dresden files i was a bit disappointed but this was a huge mistake as this took the parts from dresden files that made it good and removed all the bits that i disliked.
Despite my comparison, this isn't just some clone. It fully develops its ideas and characters into a cool, unique story that stands well on its own.
Overall, i would highly reccomended this to people who enjoy the type of setting and theme dresden files have, but with a little less serious nature lacking its more tedious parts.

Brie’s magical time adventure in the modern world
This is the latest new one from Shami Stovall. Quoted as Groundhog Day meets the Dresden Files, it has its own magic and story world that should fire the young and old alikes, imagination. This is a fast and at the same time slow story that repeats a lot, but it is a great story with believable magic and situations. 5 Stars and recommended for those who like magical fantasy. The situations are believable and there are some amazing get outs that those who video game (poorly for some of us) will understand.
