Summary

From the number one bestselling author of The One You Really Want comes a poignant romantic novel about a young woman whose time is running out. Not to be missed by readers of Jojo Moyes and Erica James.

Jill Mansell's enchanting new novel will drive readers to seize life with both hands and make the most of every minute...

Hallie has a secret. She's in love. He's perfect for her in every way, but he's seriously out of bounds. And her friends aren't going to help her because what they do know is that Hallie doesn't have long to live. Time is running out...

Flo has a dilemma. She really likes Zander. But his scary sister won't be even faintly amused if she thinks Zander and Flo are becoming friends - let alone anything more.

Tasha has a problem. Her new boyfriend is the adventurous type. And she's afraid one of his adventures will go badly wrong.

Three Amazing Things About You begins as Hallie goes on a journey. A donor has been found and she's about to be given new lungs. But whose?

A very uplifting and suspense-filled read

Where does Three Amazing Things About You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Definitely very near the top. There was no dull moment.

What did you like best about this story?

Three amazing things about you is a powerful story beautifully written to inform, enlighten and entertain. The writer chose a light hearted naration style to prevent us from getting overwhelmed by the subject matter, and the lighter aspects of the story creates a realistic balance between the huge events occurring.

Which character – as performed by Karen Cass – was your favourite?

I'm afraid annoying though she was, Lina was my favourite character as performed by Karen Cass.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not necessarily as the issues being addressed were about life and death and I wanted to delay what I had thought was inevitable. In saying that, there were many nail biting moments in the book.

Any additional comments?

Karen Cass is one of my favourite actors to listen to. Her lively and friendly tone helps the listener keep things in perspective. She always has a way of reading which makes the listener feel like they're just having a friendly chat with a rather interesting person.

Emotional roller coaster

I bought the audio version and the kindle version so literally didn't put it down from start to finish. I got so engrossed in the lives of the 3 main characters that I really didn't see what was coming. I have been a Jill Mansell fan for many years and this is one of the very best.

Jill Mansall at her best

A fantastic story, the usual romance with the power behind it, none of us know what the future holds and this book reminds us to live life to the full.

Almost gave up but glad I didn't

I am quite particular about narration and initially didn't enjoy the narration of this book at all and considered giving up on the book. I found that the voices and accents the narrator used didn't work for the characters as I imagined them and she wasn't great at regional accents (the Brummy who inexplicably turned Scouse was a particular low point).

I decided to persevere and in the end I enjoyed the story very much and was quite moved as it reached its climax. Reminded me a bit of Jojo Moyes' books in theme.

brilliant

I loved this. I have read lots of Jill Mansel before but never on audible. The book didn't disappoint and the reader was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this book

it's a good story but no major twists.

i liked the characters except Tasha, a seriously wet blanket. kept me listening but a bit too descriptive at times.

Honest opinion

Characters are interwoven and this modern story is a light escape. I thought it was refreshing to have a CF sufferer as a principal character. Occasionally predictable. The narration grates in places but generally fine.
