Incredible listen
I enjoyed the team of narrators. I think they played well off each other to deliver a great performance. This story had me on tenterhooks and eager for book 2. I love the cover, the characters, the dialogue. Everything about it made for an amazing listening experience.

Spicy & Suspenseful!
Eva Winner has done it again. Wrapped my head up in a romantic suspense story that has me hanging on and wanting more. This book is a duet, featuring Tatiana and Illias. Tatiana is reeling after the death of her husband Adrian. Some time has passed, but the feelings she has and questions left open are keeping her in the edge. He was involved in some dangerous things and she is trying to get to the bottom of it. Illias has had a thing for her for years, and now is his chance to make good on those feelings. The two have a lot in the past, but there is more there than is being said. Illias has an almost obsession with her, and his possessiveness may be the only thing at this point that is keeping her alive. As the danger increases, the protection does as well, but will it be enough? Will she be able to find the answers she is seeking and finally be able to be free? Will the feelings Illias has for her be returned or is it just a physical relationship for her? So many questions are left unanswered, and the suspense is high! I am diving into book two so I can get my answers!
Tor Thom and Erin Mallon are cranking up the heat with their amazing narration. Thom is Illias with his over protective, alpha voice. He pulls out several different accents for the characters portrayed and nails each one, giving that Russian and Italian mafia that dangerous expanse. Mallon is Tatiana. A bit on the innocent side, yet knows more than realizes. She is stubborn to a fault and each scene gives a little more of herself with the nuances and inflections. These two are keeping the story flowing! Onto the next book.

Steamy Suspense
This is my first book by this author, and I will be coming back for more!! It has my favorite tropes: Dark mafia, age gap, enemies to lovers, and
Forbidden Obsession! This was grown-ups with angsty suspense. Tatiana and Illias were explosive! I have a feeling the next book will have even more FIRE!!
The narrators were amazing! I love Erin and Tor! Duet is my favorite style!! This was a fabulous production & excellent sound quality! PFP🦩 FLOCKVIP🦩 AUDIOBOOKOBSESSION🎧

Terrific Story & Narration🎧Intriguing & Intense!
Eva Winners does it again and pens another amazing mafia romance novel and a fantastic start to her new “Thorns of Omertà” series. “Thorns of Lust” is the first book of a duet and features Tatiana Nikolaev and Illias Konstantin. They have intriguing backstories, and together they make another intriguing story. This book drew me in and grabbed my attention right from the start and held it captive the entire time. It was like nothing else around me mattered except what was happening next. And believe me, a lot happens, the drama is non-stop, there are some emotional and heartrending moments, twists and turns, truths, lies, thrilling and suspenseful moments and a possessive and steamy romance. As always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Will Tatiana put all the pieces together of what happened to her late husband, who was behind it, and Konstantin’s connection to Adrain? Does Konstantin finally have Tatiana right where he wants her, will he truly have her? I am looking forward to what happens next in the second part of the duet “Thorns of Love”. Eva Winners, thank you for another amazing story and the wild emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Tor Thom and Erin Mallon's narration is fantastic, humanizing the characters and giving each one a fitting and believable voice. Thom knocks it out of the park as Konstantin, the demanding alpha Pakhan, Russian accent and all. Mallon nails it as Tatiana, grasping all aspects of her persona. Both are just as amazing performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Angsty and Steamy!
4/4.5 stars! This is book 1 of a duet and ends on a cliffhanger!
Thorns of Lust is a fast-paced dark mafia read with engaging characters. Tatiana Nikolaev is a strong and determined heroine although we do see her in moments of severe grief after losing her husband Adrian in a traumatic way. Ilias Konstantin has had a fierce obsession with Tatiana for years. There were moments I loved him and some not so much as he is definitely an alphahole but Tatiana isn't afraid to stand up to him and not always do as he wants. The storyline was intriguing, suspenseful, angsty, and steamy! There is plenty of drama with betrayal and secrets and many twists and turns throughout the story. Tatiana and Ilias had amazing chemistry. Looking forward to what's to come for this couple in the next book.
Narrated by Tor Thom and Erin Mallon - I think this is my favorite Tor Thom narration I have listened to. He did well with the mafia persona and accents. Erin Mallon and Tor Thom's voices meshed well together bringing a deeper layer to this story.

This was hot!!
The clash of personalities in this book and romance bumped it up from a 4 star read to a 5! This was EVERYTHING 🔥 the cliffhanger? Very brutal. But that only makes me crave the finale even more. I loved this book so much!! Definitely worth a listen.

Exciting storyline
This is a great book. With strong characters, I really did enjoy this book. I love the dynamic of the relationship and how it develops. There’s lots of action and intrigue. A fantastic performance from both narrators.

Lots of mafia, suspense and drama
This book is about the mafia and has a lot of suspense and drama. The main characters, Tatiana and Konstantin, are super complex and well-written. Tatiana is a strong and smart mafia princess, and Konstantin is the dark and possessive Pakhan of the Russian Mafia. They play a cat-and-mouse game that'll keep you on the edge of your seat!
The author did a great job of creating an intense and engaging plot with themes of mystery, action, enemies to lovers, lies, and deceit. The romance between Tatiana and Konstantin is steamy and adds an extra layer of excitement to the story. Just be warned, this book has some dark themes, so it's not for everyone.
