About this listen

The enchanting sequel to the #1 New York Times bestselling THE WILD ROBOT, by award-winning author-illustrator Peter Brown

Roz is no ordinary robot. After being washed up on the shore of a remote and wild island, she learned to adapt and make it her home, befriend its animal inhabitants and even adopt a small orphaned gosling, Brightbill.

But a new life is now beginning for Roz - she has been taken away, far away from her island, back to civilisation. Where she must pretend that she is a robot like any other - there to follow orders and to carry out tasks on the farm where she now works.

She knows she must never let anyone find out who she really is. And more than anything, she must find a way to escape, back to the island and her beloved Brightbill - a journey that will be fraught with danger and drama, and some very unexpected surprises ...

A brilliant follow-up which my daughter loved

My daughter has listened to this multiple times which is always a good sign! Roz is just such a likeable character and her relationship to Brightbill so lovely to observe

The kindness of Ros

We loved how she connected with nature and cared deeply about her family and friends Also how she created her own mindset to how she knew she was supposed to be instead of doing everything for humans.
