To the world, I’m Damien DeSalvo, businessman. I own a security company, ensuring the safety of my clients.
But behind the scenes, I’m known as the Watcher.
I stay hidden, overseeing the secrecy of Hidden Justice—those who rid the world of its scum, one bad guy at a time.
Until the day she stumbles into my path, and one kiss changes everything.
Stalked and terrified, Raven Bailey needs my protection.
I need her. Can I find the man threatening the woman I love before he finds her?
We’re playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

💜 MUST LISTEN & READ. Love & Suspense ALL IN ONE
" Because Love Can Bleed Into The Darkest Heart "
Damien & Raven love story starts in a English pub and quick fake kiss & date so the man following her is scared off. However who is the hooded man stalking her and will she trust Damien to protect her...no spoilers
"Trouble and I are old friends."
I knew there love story would be a suspense romance and strong chemistry. He wants to protect her and she feels safe in his arms and they learn along the way why they feel so strong for each other ❤️🔥 I truely love about him he believes in Fate and he believes they are meant to be.
Ahhhh Melanie knows how to makes the characters so well rounded and raw that you can relate to them. Especially with this story line because it all starts with a dating app & moving to a new place...no spoilers
Will the Security Guard & Kindergarten teacher live happily ever after...no spoilers
Men of Hidden Justice I just simy LOVE THEM to pieces and I would to go to their island 😍 🏝
🎧 John Lane & Maxine Mitchell are THE BEST paring for telling stories.
They not only read the book but perform it too. I love these two because they brought Damien & Raven's love story to life. From pranking him with fake mice cause he hates them 🤣 to more sweet moments and the suspense action scenes. When she was taken you can feel the heart break & determination to get her back in John's voice.
Maxine brings out Raven's vulnerable side and her strength to move on with her life. She is so passionate with her teaching and I love that we see that & hear it in the book

LOST IN Translation
The beginning of the story was very exciting but as I listened more, found the storyline lacking, the character didn’t build to anything, lots of repetition, it’s was almost like you are watching a daily boring TV show. I like your style of writing Melanie but you lost me on this one.

Exciting and Suspenseful, Sweet and Swoony!!
Wow! Boy, did I fall in love with Damien!! He is a new favorite BBF <3 Alpha and super protective without being a jerk.. *Swoon*
“I want to rage and burn down the city to find whatever it is that is putting her in that situation. I can’t stand the thought of her upset or hurt. Of being alone and vulnerable. It makes me crazy.”
I have loved all the stories in the Hidden Justice world, but The Watcher has moved to the top for me.
Raven is a great heroine. She is no wimp, strong and smart enough to know when she does need help.
“You are perfect.”
“I’m hardly perfect,” she scoffed.
“Well, for me, then. You’re perfect for me.”
The Watcher is an exciting and very suspenseful story but also a sweet and swoony romance with plenty of touches of humor. Damien is definitely “my cup of tea” ;)
“Our love defines us. However it started, what we have is us. It’s all I want.”
I grabbed this audiobook for a reread and loved listening! The narration was great. Maxine Mitchell and John Lane brought the story to life for me and made the story feel fresh and new!

Everything your heart and ears desire
Just when we thought the Men of Hidden Justice series was over, Melanie Moreland brings us another belter when Damien gets his own story. For those reading the series in order, we do get cameos from some of our former characters. But for those new to Hidden Justice, Melanie Moreland or both - this book stands alone so you’re free to dive on in.
While this book follows a similar pattern to the others in the series - woman in trouble and in need of protection and man perfectly positioned to give his protection and his love - it also has enough differences to make it a story all its own. Raven’s troubles stem from a stalker as opposed to the previous books where the trouble was from a more organised crime type of criminal. And while Damien is smitten just as quickly as his predecessors, for some reason I felt the relationship between him and Raven was more believable somehow.
I liked Raven a lot and immediately started to root for her. She was just a ‘normal’ girl who was starting over in a new town, a bit unlucky in love, and in a situation that both terrifies and overwhelms her. She was just as smitten with Damien as he was with her - but I understood her reticence at believing and trusting her feelings. She wasn’t kick-butt in an obvious kind of way - but her strength was apparent in the way she dealt with Damien and her situation in general. Raven is voiced by Maxine Mitchell - a Melanie Moreland audio-book stalwart, so it’s no surprise that she absolutely nails the character. She’s got a voice that’s very easy to listen to and she plays on the nuances of the story, making us believe what Raven is thinking, feeling and saying. She’s got a voice which is a unique blend of strength and vulnerability. There’s really no-one else who could have read Raven’s parts.
Damien was my favourite kind of hero and the type of man that Melanie Moreland writes so well. He’s also the type of man that John Lane was made to narrate. But then again, John Lane could read the phone book and I’d be all in! Damien’s big, gruff, over-protective, borderline obsessed (but in the best possible way) and would do absolutely anything for his woman. It’s that delicious blend between a business man in a sharp suit, who’s also a lethal protector, who’s also a big ol’ teddy bear. And John Lane does this type of hero to perfection. He’s got the gruff and gravelly - but equally has the softer, lighter teddy bear voice.
There’s electric chemistry between Damien and Raven from their very first meeting - and this only grows as the pair get to know each other and fall in love. There’s plenty of sex in the book - but it never grows wearisome - and boy-oh-boy is it hot. Not only hot, but it it really helps cement the relationship between our pair and helps you to really feel these characters and their emotions.
There’s definitely an element of menace / suspense running throughout the book although it’s not until right at the end that everything comes to a head. It’s not a whodunnit as we know the identity of the bad guy and while I suspected I knew what was going on earlier in the book, it didn’t diminish my enjoyment of the culmination of the sinister part of our plot. And while this suspenseful part of the plot is uncomfortable - especially, I’m assuming, if you’ve had dealings with a stalker or obsessive ex - I’m a huge scaredy cat and I coped just fine.
This book also teased what I’m hoping will be the next in this series - between the demolition expert Egan, and Hidden Justice doctor, Sofia. I’m already giddy with anticipation of that book which has only been amped up by hearing John Lane do a Romanian accent. Swoon. Once again, Melanie Moreland writes a book that is a sheer delight while Maxine Mitchell and John Lane bring the characters and scenes to life with their fantastic narration. This is everything your heart and ears need. 5 stars.

Raven and Damien
This was a great book. I love this series. Raven has a stalker she met on a dating app and he makes her fear for her safety. In trying to escape from him, she runs in a bar where she meets Damien. Damien is on the case. The stalker thought he was smarter than everyone but he really didn't know Damien. Damien was awesome and I love how he cared for Raven. I hope the next book comes to Audible soon. I love how the people from Hidden Justice come together to assist one of their own. Maxine Mitchell and John Lane did a great job with the narration.

Phenomenal
This series get better and better with each book. Melanie gives another phenomenal story which captivates you from the first page and keeps you hooked from the very beginning and keeps you hooked throughout. This is Damien and Raven’s story. From the moment these two meet there is a spark. Raven is dealing with Stalker and with Damien experience and background he feels protective about Raven . The story was captivating and beautifully written and as always both the narrators have done exceptionally well with the narration and have brought the story to life. This is another fantastic addition to this series and I really enjoyed the audiobook. Highly recommend this book

A great audiobook!
I am always excited to pick up a new Melanie Moreland book, and I had been looking forward to Damien's story.
He and Raven have an unconventional first meeting when she asks for his help to get away from her stalker. From that first moment there is a connection between them and it was easy to see why they fell for one another. They were both interesting characters who were well matched.
I have enjoyed each book in the Men of Hidden Justice series, but this is my favorite so far. It was a great mix of suspense, romance, and characters you can love. Melanie's writing is excellent and the story is perfectly paced and entertaining with great narration.

Loved it - Great story and great narration
Where do I start? The Watcher was a wonderful addition to the Men of Hidden Justice series. It was suspenseful, romantic, passionate, emotional, intense and I was riveted from the first to the last chapter.Well written with characters whose story you cannot help but quickly become invested in, they were engaging and entertaining.
This is owner of Elite Security Damien DeSalvo ( aka The Watcher) and Raven Bailey’s story and there were times I was on the edge of my seat whilst reading. Raven has a stalker, Andy Smith and she turns to Damien to help her. The chemistry and heat sizzles between them despite the danger she is in.
Once again John Lane and Maxine Mitchell did a stellar job with their narration. Their voices are easy to listen to and I found myself riveted to the story as I listened.
Will Damien and his team be able to keep Raven safe? There were equal amounts of heat, steam, romance, mystery and suspense in The Watcher. This is a story of finding love, of family, not of blood but family none the less and what one will do for shite you love. A great story that I loved and one I happily recommend you one click,I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Terrific couple
Well, Melanie Moreland has done it again! Every time I think I've found my favorite couple in one of her series, she ups her game and proves me wrong. So, what I'll say is Damien and Raven are my favorite Men of Hidden Justice couple - SO FAR. Honestly, all 4 couples have been as swoony as swoony gets. These guys only know one way to love: completely. And once they make that commitment, they'll do anything to protect her. Of course, that's just too bad for the maniac with his sights set on Raven. Stalkers are a special kind of creepy, and I'll admit there were a couple of times while reading this one that I shut the curtains. (You know, just to make sure!) With that, I guess I really don't have to tell you that The Watcher has some tense moments, and that tension steadily rises to a boiling point. And that's just the suspense part of this one. The romance is sweet, steamy, and well, Damien and Raven just make me smile. I also got to catch up a little with the past couples in the series, which is always a treat. So, if you haven't met The Men of Hidden Justice yet, you really need to. This one can technically be read as a standalone, but once you've fallen into this world, you'll be wanting more.
Now take all of that and combine it with narration by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell, and you've got a winner all the way around. I read The Watcher just days before listening to the audiobook, and even though it was all still fresh in my mind, Lane and Mitchell still manage to make it feel fresh and new. I'm never disappointed with these narrators, and when they have such a terrific author to work with, it's an unbeatable listen.

4.5 Stars! 💗
As soon as i found out about this audiobook i immediately started looking forward to it! Whenever i get to experience a story again in audio it always makes me so happy! I started listening to it right away and got right back into the Men of Hidden Justice world! I loved this listen!
Having listened to both Maxine Mitchell and John Lane's narration many times before it always makes me smile whenever i get to listen to these two narrators! These two and their voices captured my attention from the start! I loved what these two brought to the story as Raven and Damien! They captured the emotions, suspense, and everything in between in such fantastic ways! I didn't want to stop listening to these two. I can't wait to listen to more of Maxine and John's narration in the future!
Damien and Raven's journey once again pulled me in and didn't let go! One moment can change everything which Damien and Raven sure know. Can these two tackle everything thrown their way, together?
Raven had such strength and Damien's protective ways made me swoon. The chemistry between these two was undeniable and i loved how i felt so much with them from beginning to end! From the moments that had my heart racing to the ones that had me all in my feels, i fell for this story and it's characters even more this time around.
With The Watcher, Ms.Moreland has created such a great journey that'll keep you on your toes and make you feel so much! This is such an awesome series! I can't wait for the fifth installment, The Specialist! Definitely check this series out if you haven't already.

Incredible story!
Every time I listen to one of the Men of Hidden Justice books by Melanie Moreland, I get completely swept up in the story from the very first chapter. The danger, the mystery, the sexiness, the alpha male hero that saves the sweet heroine from distress? Maxine Mitchell and John Lane narrating the story? Yes, please!! I just know that my ears are in for a treat with this duo - John Lane's deep and gravelly tone is absolutely perfect for our hero Damien, and Maxine Mitchell gave another incredible performance as Raven!
The Watcher is book 4 in this incredible series, and this time we get to watch Damien save the girl, after one memorable meet-cute at the start of this story. Raven definitely ran into the right bar and the right arms that day, not knowing that Damien was the perfect man to protect her from the man who didn't understand that no meant no. That kiss they shared seconds after meeting, holy smokes, it was hot......and the sparks flew immediately between them. Raven obviously didn't want to drag Damien into her mess, but he jumped right into protection mode - and she never stood a chance against him. Love how all the other men who lightning struck jump back in to help when one of their own needs it - these men truly have created an incredible bond and family, and I just can't get enough of them.
Seriously, this series is just one of my favorites - highly recommend going back from the beginning so you can fall in love with these characters too! You won't regret it!

Suspenseful!
This is the fourth book in the Men of Hidden Justice series, and excellent Romantic Suspense. I read it and loved it. The audiobook version is amazing! Damien and Raven are fantastic characters. Damien is handsome, and protective. Raven is beautiful, strong, and smart. The storyline is entertaining, and captivating, and I liked the mystery, the suspense, and the romance. Maxine Mitchell and John Lane definitely are on my list of favorite narrators. They did an outstanding job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward for more in the series!
