Summary

A brand-new sinfully sexy stand-alone romantic comedy from best-selling authors Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente!

When you think about how easy it is to lose keys, phones, sunglasses and your dignity on social media, you might figure it'd be a cinch for me to ditch my V Card.

You'd be wrong.

At 25, I run a successful business, live in a fantastic apartment, and have fabulous friends to go out with any night of the week. And yet I'm still a card-carrying member of a club I don't want to belong to anymore. Good thing I know just the man for the deflowering job - my brother’s business partner and best friend.

Graham Campbell is charming, smart, and, I’m told, oh-so-skilled in the sack. As long as I keep my eyes on the prize, there’s no way this pluck-the-flower project could possibly complicate matters.

***

Work and pleasure. As the CEO of a fast-growing company, I've been enjoying both to the fullest. What do I do when the board throws me for an unexpected loop so I can keep my business in my hands? I enlist the help of my best friend's little sister, since she holds a big stake in the company. But then I learn there's another big stake she wants.

The one between my legs.

I can do this. Seven nights to teach her everything I know in the bedroom. There's no way I'll fall for her, even though she’s earning top grades in every single sinfully sexy lesson. And turns out I’m learning something, too. The trouble is I don’t have the answer key to what to do when I fall hard for her.

And that throws a whole new hitch in my plans.

Definitely a new favourite of mine!

I loved this audiobook, it was the perfect mix of sweet and sexy! I fell in love with both Graham and CJ from the start.

I hadn’t ever read anything by Lili Valente before but I’m sold after this! Both authors wrote amazingly.

And of course, my favourite duo of Andi and Sebastian just made it a perfect read.

The best narration combination

Any additional comments?

I love Lauren Blakely, however I am not familiar with Lili Valente so I had my fingers crossed that I wasn’t going to be disappointed.

Of course I wasn’t!!! 😂

Loved this story but I only gave it 4.5 stars as opposed to 5, my reasoning is that I have been listening to a lot of contemporary books recently and they do all tend to start blending together if you are not careful, so I’m sure that at some point I will re-listen to this one and 5 star it, but for now it has a stellar 4.5 🌟

Now you have to know that when you get yourself a Ms Blakely book, you’re going to have a good time, let me count the ways 😇

1. Her comedy timing is always perfect, I love the way her characters banter with each other.

2. Graham – This is a man that will have you turning into a puddle of goo, no kidding, HE DESIGNS LINGERIE PEOPLE!! He knows what looks good on what size women, and loves them all the same…..sigh…..

3. C.J – If ever there was a strong, independent woman, then C.J is your girl, she knows what she wants, and she’s not afraid to ask for it!…….Well, unless you are asking about her virginity!

4. Stephen King 😂

Ms. Blakely is the queen of what she does for a reason, she knows her market and damn does she deliver!

Narration: PERFECT, just perfectly perfect in every way!!!

Ok I may be exaggerating a slight bit, but Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are my 2 favourite narrators in the whole wide world so they gave the sexiness a whole new level 😇

When Sebastian York whispers in your ears to undress slowly and seductively, well, you just damn well do what that man says!!!

Easy listen - good book

Lauren Blakely is one of my favourite authors and I now have a couple of Lili Valente’s books also. This won’t go down as one of my favourite books, however it was ok - good enough that I’ve actually listened to it twice (a year apart).
CJ has had a crush on Graham (her brothers best friend) for years. She is a 25 year old virgin, he needs her help with the board of his company following the death of CJ’s brother who was Graham’s business partner. In exchange for her help, Graham agrees to give CJ 7 days of sex education.

Great narration duet in Sebastian and Andi

Hot hot hot

I love love Lauren’s Books. Like seriously her writing is so good and narrators she is choosing are just perfect for her characters.

In here we meet CJ and Graham. Friends that are always there for each other. Always have each other backs. But through years of being so close something sparked and an idea popped in one of their minds. Because who is better to help you out in the bedroom experience than your best friend?

It’s a funny, sexy and amazing story. You al should definitely pick this one up!

5 stars!

Graham on a cracker

I really liked the premise for THE V CARD, with a friends to lovers context. CJ asks her brother’s best friend, Graham for help with her lack of bedroom experience. Not a new trope but I liked how this was initially set up. The audio started incredibly well with the friendship between CJ and Graham shining strongly. Their shared business brought another interesting aspect.

How these two navigated their arrangement was good listening and didn’t rush ahead, however it lost a bit of shine as it moved into the latter part of the audio. The tempo felt more static and the culmination a bit lacking for my taste.

The narrators are good, there’s no denying that but I have to say I’m ready for Lauren Blakely to diversify more with her narrators because it gives a sense of sameness to the books which I think does her an injustice. I’d like to see her try some brand new voices that lead her characters into a place of freshness.

It was impossible to see the seams between Blakely and Valente’s writing, I presume they wrote oppositive POVs but they fit together so well, it couldn’t be detected.

A copy of this audiobook was provided by the author in return for a honest review.
