About this listen

Cold and alone, Brad finds himself at the harsh frontier of this terrifying new world. He’s lucky to be taken in by a new community of survivors - a militia enclave - and at first, they seem to have a good thing going. Food, supplies, and leadership. Has Brad found his new safe haven?

Of course, nothing in the new dark world is easy, and though things seem to be idyllic on the surface, his new community quickly begins to show its true colors....

Can Brad keep his moral compass as everyone around loses theirs? And can he track down Anna and the children before it’s too late?

This is the third book in the Enter Darkness series.

The trash pit is for things that aren't useful.

Part three of the post apocalyptic serial, Enter Darkness, finds Brad still looking for his 'family' - Anna, Sammy and the young girl they rescued. His nights are haunted by dreams of fire and screams and, to make everything worse, it has started to snow again.
This refreshing take on survival after the U.S. Is plunged into a post MRI world has a feeling of validity which so many others do not. Brad isn't supertrained, though he did learn to hunt as a youth, and his father was a prepper, so initially things went pretty well for the man, but now, with the lodge lost, and alone without supplies in the freezing weather, the prospect is not looking good. As always, the narration by Andrew Wehrlen perfectly complements the story, being clearly and briskly read with full character voicing s and understated emotion.

This is an excellent and absorbing serial which needs to be read in order to properly succeed. The episodes are fairly short and quick to hear and the whole is recommended for anyone enjoying post apocalyptic survivalist stories. But be warned, once started on this ongoing tale, it is very hard not to continue. I'm about to start book four now.
