Summary

Abby wants a baby more than anything. But after years of failed infertility treatments and adoptions that have fallen through, it seems like motherhood is not in her future. That is, until her personal assistant Monica makes a generous offer that will make all of Abby's dreams come true. But it turns out Monica isn't who she says she is. The woman now carrying Abby's child has an unspeakable secret. And she will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Twist and turn

Really easy listening, a bit slow at first but a good ending. It does keep you gripped

I've had to give up, ridiculous story

I'll start by saying the narrator is excellent. She has a lovely reading voice. Hearing over and over about how good looking Abby's husband is... that having his photo in his college magazine the female applicants TRIPLED and college students were calling him at home and asking his WIFE if they could go out with him on Saturday night (happens often apparently). I rolled my eyes so hard and it was laugable until it became really annoying. The main character is a wet wipe who thinks it's a great idea for her assistant to have a baby for her.. but it's OK because she made a contract that says she is NOT ALLOWED to change her mind. What planet is this writer on that this would ever be allowed? I usually love these books but it's laughable, I've just listened to a whole 10 minutes while she nitpicks about whether tomatoes are fruit or not and Brad and Angelina.
