Italy, baking and cosy atmosphere in the same book

Sunshine and Biscotti is just what it says on the tin...
An Italian holiday destination meets baking, decorating, cosy atmosphere, old friends and mixed up romances. The characters are mainly likeable and most of them follow their hearts and grow into their authentic selves during a summer of taking stock of their lives, whilst doing up an old hotel and getting to know each other again. 💗

Disappointingly dull and boring.

Sunshine, cooking, and a bit of romance - how could you go wrong? I was looking for an easy escapist read with a little something to pique my interest but sadly, it was all just predictable and dull. The chopping and changing between characters every chapter was confusing and unnecessary. The female characters were all angst ridden and neurotic. The male ones were all boringly shallow. If any of them had had any depth to their character one might have felt a little understanding but as it was, they just irritated me! All in all, disappointingly dull and boring!
