Summary
A new standalone romance from USA Today best-selling author Meghan Quinn and narrated by Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro....
I haven't seen her in three years.
I haven't talked to her since the kiss.
So why am I on a plane, flying across the world to spend a week with her in Germany?
One word: Pops.
My life’s a mess.
My possible football career is hanging on by a thread.
I'm driving the roads of Germany in honor of Pops with the one girl I can never have.
And I’m sharing a bed with her, the girl I've measured everyone else up to, while desperately trying to not to touch her.
We made a pact growing up, never to get romantic with each other - never fall in love.
And I'm about to break that pact. For good.

Definitely wiggle-worthy!! 🔥
The Romantic Pact by Meghan Quinn is exactly what Quinn's writing is all about... the characters are charming, sweet and fun, the story is witty and hilarious while still being touching and bringing heart-warming moments. Quinn's got skills! I was completely tickled to gifure out who this story was about. If you've read The Mother Road than you are in for a huge treat! It was a delight surprise to see some familiar characters in The Romantic Pact that I didn't realize was coming. Woops, I almost finished my review without talking about the heat level. It would have been a travesty if I accidentally skipped that. Havel and Crew were like lava... leaving every thing scorched in their wake! They were definitely wiggle-worthy listening material!
The narrators really brought a pulse to Hazel and Crew. Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro had their work cut out for them. I mean, the emotions and antics in this story have a wide range and they just poured everything into the book. The way both Paige and Navarro were able to portray their grief and struggling to heel was beautiful and might have had me wiping my eyes several times. But they also showed a playfulness that you could hear in their voices. There was a fondness that the characters felt for each other that I felt in the narration as well as the words in the story. This is my favorite type of audiobook... where it's felt in the emotions of the narrators and the words of the story. I don't think anything could have made this better in my opinion... a full 5 stars from me!

A road trip full of romance!
I loved the narration for this audiobook from Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro. I loved the Ebook but their narration brought the story to life even more and I was wrapped up completely in Crew and Hazel's story all over again. It's absolutely an audiobook I will listen to again and again
Crew is the Hero here and after losing his Pops, a man he loved and respected massively, he is losing his way and his focus on getting picked for the draft to the NHL. When he finds out that Pops planned a road trip to Germany before he passed with a mystery travel companion he knows he needs to go. Hazel the heroine is Crew's mystery travel partner, as kids they spent their summer's together on Pops' farm and were inseparable until one kiss caused a 3 year rift in their friendship.
I loved the format of the novel, our Hero and heroine following letters from Pops to repair their friendship and maybe help Crew and Hazel to see that they could be more to each other. The backbone of the book is the idea of family in whatever format it takes, the sentimentality of the story was beautifully written. The romance begins to build as Hazel and Crew get to know each other again while exploring the quaint towns, foods and activities that Pops set up for them. Before you know it this book feels like a comfy holiday romance that you can nestle down under a blanket for a cosy read that warms your heart. Mixed into Hazel and Crew's story is humour, steam, a classic Meghan Quinn dry hump or two and of course some unique festive ornaments, everyone of us will want in our homes.
The romantic Pact for me told a story of two very likable characters that lost their way, but through an old friendship and a love of a great man they both respected and lost they help each other grieve and heal. When life comes crashing back to reality after the road trip I had a lump in my throat for several chapters feeling that aching despair that Hazel was feeling as she feels her life as she knows it is slipping away through her fingers, I truly felt her heartache as she fears everything that makes her who she is will be gone. An angsty build up culminates to a satisfying happy ending and another brilliant book to Meghan's repertoire.

5 OUT OF 5 SWEET STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
5 OUT OF 5 SWEET STARS
I LOVED The Romantic Pact!!
Meghan has delivered a Gem again!
This book was a friends to lovers romance.
The story takes place after the death of Crew’s pops and his decision to reunite old friends on a tour of Germany, with some surprises thrown in along the way to make Crew and Hazel realise that they are meant to be together much longer than the festive period.
Having been friends since being children they would spend summers together at the farm Pops owned but with Crew’s choice of career taking him away for four years they have lost touch and their ideas of what they each want from life appear to have changed. Crew is heading into his final year and losing Pops has made him think about the future, so when he returns home he finds out about that Pops has planned a trip for him to visit Germany however Pops has arranged for him to have a companion on this trip in the form of his childhood friend Hazel stirring up feelings, thoughts and conversations about the past, present and also what the future holds.
I loved this story so much! Exploring true friendship between two people and how it can turn into something much more is always a winner for me.
It was so beautifully written with all the worries of life thrown in to untangle throughout the story. It will have you on the edge of your seat rooting for them both hoping that the romantic plan turns out well.
The Narration was amazing and brought to life the characters of Crew and Hazel so perfectly. What a partnership Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro are I can’t wait to hear them together again.

4.5 Amazing Stars
In true Meghan Quinn style, The Romantic Pact ticks all the boxes for a good romcom. However it is so much more than your average romcom.
On a journey through Germany with Crew and Hazel you will laugh out loud, mourn, find love and so much more. I think I would even go so far as to say, its my favourite Meghan Quinn to date!
Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro took me from the start to end of this book, 'seeing' and 'feeling' Pops and every single experience he planned for this young couple with such finesse, its as if they lived in my head. A perfect duo to bring Crew and Hazel to life.

A wonderful, romantic, rollercoaster ride
Flipping heck Meghan Quinn! What are you doing to me? I was a wreck. In the best possible way. A sweet, at times funny, story about family, friendship and finding your soulmate. Do you believe in soulmates? I sure as George Washington do (you need to read the book to understand that little snippet), and after reading this captivating romance, it solidifies everything I always believed about true love. A week long road trip with the best friend you’ve not seen in 3 years will either make you stronger together or rip you apart. It took the words of a dying man to make them see what was there all along. Wonderful characters, a little bit blind to what’s right in front of them, and definitely stubborn at times, they needed guidance, and thankfully they had it in the written word. Wonderful writing, an emotional storyline, with a little of the Meghan Quinn humour I love. The audio version gets a full five stars from me. Tim Paige is the perfect Crew and Kelsey Navarro the perfect Hazel. I love these narrators together, they have genuine chemistry that comes across in the story, making me really believe.

Hazel and Crew!
While Crew chased his dream of playing football the one thing he always thought he would have is time. Time to repair the relationship with the girl he never forgot and time to spend time with his grandfather and now that he has passed away all he has are memories. His grandfather must have had a bigger plan as he now finds himself heading to Germany on the trip his grandfather planned with the girl he has never forgotten.
As children Hazel and Crew were best friends until the kiss. Since then, Hazel has been ghosted by the boy she gave her heart to and she doesn’t know why. Spending a week with him in Germany will either allow them to right the wrongs of the past or break her heart for a second time.
The characters are captivating, their interactions are humorous and hot, but this story is about so much more. It is a life lesson bout valuing what and who is important in your life and appreciating every day and every memory that you share. The narrators managed to bring out all the emotion, humor and romance of the characters and the story.

Go Pop’s!!!!
3.5 stars for the book
4 stars for audiobook narration
I was provided with an audiobook copy by Little Dog Press for an honest review
This was a sweet slow burn friends to lovers romance about childhood besties Crew and Hazel. Crew’s amazing Pop’s arranges the two to go on a perfect adventure to Germany after his death. The thing is, the two haven’t spoken to each other since a near kissed broke them apart 4 years earlier.
The wit and banter between to two flowed with ease and I loved how open Hazel was with Crew, like that girl is not shy lol. The storyline surrounding Pop’s and the trip was beautiful and If you have been to Germany you will probably connect better with the story but as I haven’t i found it difficult getting lost in all the scenery descriptions, places they visit, foods and different drinks they had etc. But I adored the story of pop’s and could feel every emotion on how much they loved him and he loved them, giving them one last push to reconciliation from beyond the grave....go pop’s!!👏

Childhood Friends
Hazel and Crew childhood friends lost someone very close to them. This story is about a journey that person sent them on to tour Germany and recreate one of his most cherished vacations.
I would categorize this a new adult story and it felt very much like it. Two people a little unsure of what life has in store for them. After a few years of not talking, they really reconnect over this trip
The story is very sweet overall. I had a few issues with the emotional manipulation orchestrated by the person who sent them on the trip. I also felt Hazel was emotionally manipulative a bit and had a very hard time connecting with her point of view. After some reflection, I realize it's not a problem with the book at all. It is part of their journey. I connected so much more with Crew's point of view I think because I saw myself in him a little. The issues and difficulties between Hazel and Crew could have easily been solved with some true, honest communication. Neither one of them really knew how to communicate their feelings and how to listen to the other's feelings. That is part of being as young as they are.
I loved the narration by Tim Page and Kelsey Navarro. They make a great duo.
