Summary

I got in over my head.

I bit off more than I could chew.

And now my fate is sealed to the most ruthless man I know.

Two hundred fifty guests. They think they know what's happening today. But they don't have a clue.

My wedding day. But it's so much more than that.

NOTE: This is a stand-alone contemporary dark romance with NO cliff-hanger!

"A scorcher of a book with delightful surprises and the Kitty Thomas brand of darkness that twists its way to a happy ending." (Charmaine Pauls, USA Today best-selling author)

This is not at all....

This is not at all what I was expecting from the books descriptions and there was no warning about the MM stuff going on. It wouldn't be a big deal if there was some sort of a warning about this being a foursome MM thing. Not to mention the sex scenes are just down right boring. There's no detail to them really. This could have been so much better but it's a bit of a disappointment. The author touches om dom sub stuff but there's no detail to it either. The book missed it's mark big time.

Excellent story enhanced by talented narrations

This is a love story that has elements of dubious consent and conflicted emotions. Livia is in love with three powerful men, and she’s not able to manage the situation as it spirals beyond her control. The story blooms as the power dynamic shifts, and you’re constantly trying to get a handle of the twists that Kitty Thomas throws in our path.
The narrators really enhance this story, with the two speaking the chapters from the different POVs. Livia’s narrator conveys emotion and puts just the right inflection to let us hear the character’s conflict and uncertainty. The men’s narrator has a power and dominance in his reading that fits the male characters and gives life to the forbidden. Being able to listen to the story allowed me to pick up on details that I overlooked while reading, and this is going is going to be a regular “re-read!”

UGH..

DAMN SHE WHINES THROUGH THE WHOLE BOOK... SO ANNOYING. starts off as a strong independent woman, winds up as the innocent and naive little girl act... what a waste

Nice RH

I liked the story even though I’m not really into RH. I like Kitty Thomas but this felt a little slow and I didn’t care for Livia at all.

Livia was nice but selfish…the fact that she didn’t try to find her friend a man when she snagged 3? She knew Macy wants a fairy tale so not trying to find her one? Griffin or Dane probably knew nice guys but the self absorbed Livia just put me off… so only her could be happy? 🙄

Worth it? If you like RH, sure… if not? Maybe not.

Spellbinding and wonderful

Once again Ms. Thomas delivers. I refuse to post spoilers so this review is rather vague, but OMG is this book wonderful. Nothing is what it seems. Livia is our heroine and through a twisted weaving tale, we get her story. I loved the convoluted timeline, that allowed the story to play out, without spoiling the ending. I felt like this was a refreshing twist on a common trope and I'm truly amazed at the author's ability to deliver on it. This will be on my re-read list for sure.

The narration just made this book even better for me. The male characters didn't sound quite like I had in my head but were still great! I highly recommend this one

This was PERFECTION

I LOVED THIS AUDIO SO MUCH!!!! Every Kitty Thomas audio is terrific but this one hit me harder for some reason. I think because this is one of my absolute favorite books by her so listening to Sebastian York narrate the male parts and Meg narrate the female parts was ASTOUNDING. I LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND. NOT ONE OUNCE OF CRITICISM, 5 STARS!!!

Riveting & perfection 😍

This was such a riveting story. I don’t want to give ANYTHING away, but let me start with I loved this! I loved how Livia, done wonderfully by Meg Sylvan, decided that she was going to date and do things her way, and find her future, not let a man think he can wine and dine her a few days then get what he wants. She was going to dictate the terms and find the one who would eventually propose. And she would date a few different men at the same time until it happened. She had her roster, she had feelings (not so sure she counted on those for each one), and then she had her world turned upside down. Pasts, secrets & awakenings. And, narrated to perfection by Sebastian York. I can listen to him on the daily 😍 Now is when I need to tell you to grab this because I don’t want to give any deliciousness away!! I loved this!!!
