Summary

He is no man of honor....

To help his sister heal from a traumatic captivity, Logan Mackenzie reluctantly seeks the Bodyguard Corps’ protection. After so many years as a mercenary, he is resistant to live by their code - until he rescues a beautiful Englishwoman from a snowstorm. He vows to protect Helena, even though she kindles a desire that threatens to expose his shameful past. Now he must fight to regain the honor he thought destroyed years before - or risk losing Helena forever.

She is fleeing for her life....

When a foreboding vision warns Helena that her life is in danger, she escapes from her Borderland castle to the Highland wilds. Under Logan’s care, Helena begins to hope she can trust the scarred warrior with the secret of her curse. When forced to confront the past she abandoned, Helena must choose between surrendering to fate or having the courage to forge her own path with Logan. But will their love be enough to overcome the hidden truths threatening to tear them apart?

This full-length Scottish historical romance is part of the Highland Bodyguards series, but also can be enjoyed as a standalone novel. Pick up your copy today!

I Love This Series

I was waiting for Logan's story, and what a good one it is. I also like the character of Helena. I wonder, could there be more about her (her background) in another series maybe dealing with their offspring. This installment will not disappoint and TC is so great.

The intensity of this series is so palpable!

The author is a genius to portray such complex and kind souls like Helena and Logan. They struggle, they hide from the past, they don't even search for love as they are afraid of the feeling. And yet, they find each other and love is saving their lives. This is a story about running away from your past to a better future, about finding peace and honour, finding one's own happiness, about kindness and helping others. Logan's love for his sister is beautifully described. Helena is the kindest of souls. This book is perfection!!!

Nice to listen to

I am all in for Scottish romances. The story entails much more than just a love story and it made it interesting. I liked the narrator, especially when speaking with a Scottish accent. But speaking for my own taste, I have concluded that when male narrators speak the female role it is rather unsexy.

I like a good redemption story!

Logan had a complicated history that made him feel unworthy. Although, deep inside he still had honor. Helena was a good hearted brave woman, with her own secret and pain. Together they found redemption for themselves. Marin, Logansport sister also found strength and redemption because of Logan and Helena. the three are inspiring, and the love that grows between Logan and Helena is strong and true, because of the trust they share. Totally worth a listen.

Another great book.

I am really enjoying this series. Ms. Prince is an amazing author. However, one theme I don’t care die is this somewhat “theme” of Highland Warriors moving to the Borderlands to make their women happy. Selfish of the women for sure.
