About this listen
Prince Owin
Being a fierce predator - not at all adorable, despite my graceful stature - the last thing I needed was a bodyguard. Especially a wolf shifter, whose presence alone was an insult to my princely principles.
As prince of the Ocelot Shifters, I prided myself on my infallible feline instincts, uncompromising dignity, and flawless fashion sense. If having a canine follow me around at all times wasn’t bad enough, I now faced the most important moment of my entire life.
The time had come to prove I was worthy of my crown. If only I could find a way to get rid of the pesky bodyguard...
Grimmwolf
When the king of All Shifters asked me to guard Prince Owin, I admit I had no idea what to expect. Cat shifters tend to be a little intense, not to mention kinda cranky. Owin was no exception, though he seemed crankier than most.
Being his bodyguard was proving to be one of the greatest challenges of my life, but not nearly as great as convincing him there was something special between us.
When Owin was tasked with a perilous quest to prove his worth, I was determined to keep him safe, even if the same couldn’t be said of my heart.

A quest
This is my first Charlie Cochet book. Shocking, right? I’ve heard about her for years, and have even purchased a few audios but have never taken the plunge. I’m glad I grabbed this one as I enjoyed it.
Owin is the prince of the Ocelot shifters. He has yet to earn his crown, so he spends his days filled with trivial pursuits. He knows all about the latest fashion and pop culture. Does he know much about being a responsible monarch? Yeah, not so much. On top of it, he has a canine shifter bodyguard he can’t manage to shake. A dog? Really? Owin’s cat shifter has no interest in interspecies interactions.
Grimmwolf is a patient man. Uh, wolf. He’s been summoned by the king of all kings to watch over Owin, and he takes this responsibility seriously. Does the pampered prince irritate him? Sure. But he’s sworn to his duty and has no plans to shirk it. When he and Owin are sent on a quest so Owin can get his crown, Wolf figures following along is just part of the job.
The quest plays a central role in this story. To obtain the ultimate prize, so to speak. But, as with most good quest stories, the journey is where the real action takes place. Owin and Wolf encounter all manner of creatures while searching. And when they reach the end? Well, the real test is just the beginning as the men have to face what they mean to each other and what they’re willing to sacrifice.
Greg Boudreaux narrated this story and he was a great choice. He nails the prissy Owin and the very grounded Wolf. He makes the story enjoyable and I’m glad I listened. This was a nice tale and I can recommend it.

Quick, fun and sexy
I wanted something short and sweet and this definitely fit the bill. The prince of the ocelot shifters has to team up with his bodyguard, a wolf shifter, to fulfil a quest set him by the king of all shifters… of course, they spar like cat and dog (!) and shenanigans ensure.
It’s not deep and the worldbuilding is minimal, but it’s a helluva lot of fun, especially in audio where Greg Boudreaux demonstrates once again that he’s a master of comic timing (and just about everything else when it comes to narration!)
Quick, fun and sexy – just what I was looking for, and I’ll probably pick up more audios in the series as they become available.

Brilliant 4.5*
Charlie Cochet's writing is great in this, the 1st novella in the Paranormal Princes series.
Owin, Prince of the Ocelot Shifters, is sent on a quest by King Alric to prove he is worthy of his crown, with only a bodyguard and a magic bag (the jury's still out on whether it's a satchel or a *ahem* "manly purse" lol). Given that the bodyguard in question, Grimmwolf, is an alpha wolf shifter you can bet there's tension in this fun, funny feline/canine opposites attract paranormal romance.
Greg Boudreaux really nails all Owin's affectations, sense of entitlement and snark, as well as Grimmwolf's determination and growly protectiveness...he's not without a bit of playful snark either. All in all, excellent narration.

Brilliant new series!
Freaking adorable! Owin is the sassy Prince of the Ocelot shifters having to take part in a challenge set by the king of all shifters in order to keep his crown. Alongside him is Grimmwolf, his very much unwanted bodyguard who refuses to leave his side.
These two men are such different characters but so much fun to read! This is a shorter story but it involves everything that I need to enjoy - strong plot, developed characters that connect with a great mix of emotions. It's a bit of a slow burner as the men spend time in close quarters along Owin's quest, often in situations that the esteemed prince never thought to find himself in but it's clear he needs to learn some lessons along the way. Grimmwolf is Owin's perfect balance in strength, size, humility and temperament.
We start with the story being set up by the King of all shifters and it's fun reading him too, hoping he gets his own story soon!
Highly recommend this story, really looking forward to this series! There are elements that exist in the THIRDS series, with shifters and characters with strong, quirky personalities.
Greg is such an amazing narrator and he truly brings all of the characters and their personalities to life whilst giving the right tone to any situation that the Prince and his bodyguard found themselves.

So good! Witty and wonderful!!!
I love shifters and add in Charlie's wit, sass, and humor and you have a fantastic read. Greg's performance was flawless and elevated the book to new heights.
I loved both these characters and found their dynamics so funny. I loved spoilt Owin and his dislike of wolves. He grows so much over the adventure and of course, falls for the stoic and strong wolf Grimmwolf. I loved Grimmwolf! He was such a great character and a great contrast to Owin. A wonderful story with wit, humor, and adventure, a little danger and a lot of chemistry. A fantastic, hilarious and all-around great short read, sure to make you laugh along with all the shenanigans. I can't wait for more!!
Thanks for reading!

Such a fabulous start to the series!
5 Stars
OMG, this book was so amazing and fun and hot and did I mention, fun? Charlie Cochet's writing and Greg Boudreaux's voice are a match made in heaven!
I wasn't too sure what to make of Prince Owin at first. Okay, no, that's a lie. I didn't like him or his spoiled attitude. However, I loved Grimm and he was so cute in his obvious crush with Owin that I couldn't help but be intrigued. Owin did get better... eventually, LOL. And frankly, there were times when he needed a good spanking, but it made for some fun situations and I loved seeing Owin finally open up to Grimm. They were awesome together and I hope we'll get to see them again throughout the series.
I'm really intrigued by King Alarick and Lord Jean Eldrich and I really, really hope they'll have their own book. King Alarick is just hilarious.
Greg has such a knack for narrating these kinds of funny stories, not only is his voice amazing to get lost in while listening to the audiobook, but he always does a great job giving each character their own distinct voice and bringing them to life.
If you're a fan of fun, low-angst, adventure-filled paranormal romances, this is a must-read, or rather, a must-listen audiobook, you won't regret it!

Laughs all the way.
I love Charlie Cochet's work, this first book in a new series is no exception. It's short by audio standards but it's not rushed. It's full of adventure, snark, Laughs, a gentle self awakening and two shifters realising they are in love. I have to say the King is a dense man and I hope his story is a good one.
Add in Greg Boudreaux's masterful narrative and you have a marvelous afternoons listening.

Funny and entertaining
I was laughing out loud and I couldn’t help the smile that was plastered on my face.
Prince Owin was a feisty yet grumpy kitty who had a thing against wolves. He came across rich, spoilt and bratty but he was funny and made me smile.
Grimm saw right through Owin’s mask. He caught glimpses of Owin’s caring heart before he hid it.
I enjoyed the push and pull between Owin and Grimm. The tension between these two was built up perfectly. Owin had no shame ogling Grimm, through a mirror, in all his naked glory lol; can’t say I blame him, I would have done the same.
I absolutely loved this book, it was everything I wanted it to be and so much more. The characters stole my heart with their wit and humour.
The narrator was absolutely fantastic.
