There are always surprising new cases to take on, and the latest batch is no exception. And that's not to mention Ulf's struggle to contain his feelings for his colleague Anna Bengsdotter. All in all, things are distinctly difficult in Malmo, and it seems up to Ulf and the Department to set them right.

Another delightful ramble.
Reading some reviews, they bemoan the lack of a story in these books. For me, that misses the whole point. The storyline is just an excuse for AMS to hang his philosophical ramblings on, and whilst there is a gentle story emerging in this series, it is the little asides, the philosophical wonderings and the absurdity of some of the situations that we enjoy in these charming books. Don’t expect action. Do expect to have lots of things to gently mull over.

Dog suffering
Maybe I’m too sensitive but the dogs injuries and the preamble over getting him to the vet at the beginning of the story stopped me from listening further. I usually enjoy this author and tried to persevere but I just found it unsettling. Narrator was excellent

Disappointed
Does not cut the mustard for me. Minimal plot. Back to Botswana from now on.
