Summary

In this first book of "The Forsyte Saga", Galsworthy paints a vivid portrait of a wealthy and ambitious London family at the turn of the century. Interwoven with this is the ill-fated romance of Irene and Bossiny.

What a load of hot air!!

The narrator has a pebble on his tongue and reads far too fast for my liking. I'm British and can barely understand the man! I'm sure there are people out there who enjoy all the pomposity and arrogance depicted in this book, but I'm not one of them. Cod's Wallop I say!!

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
