Summary

The Keeper of Stories meets The Lost Apothecary in this evocative and charming novel full of mystery and secrets.

‘The thing about books,’ she said ‘is that they help you to imagine a life bigger and better than you could ever dream of.’

On a quiet street in Dublin, a lost bookshop is waiting to be found…

For too long, Opaline, Martha and Henry have been the side characters in their own lives.

But when a vanishing bookshop casts its spell, these three unsuspecting strangers will discover that their own stories are every bit as extraordinary as the ones found in the pages of their beloved books. And by unlocking the secrets of the shelves, they find themselves transported to a world of wonder… where nothing is as it seems.

To me …this is what reading is all about

A magical story that I fell into and didn’t want to leave. The interwoven stories all narrated perfectly.
I will actually listen again.

A Love Letter to Book Lovers

I've been a lover of reading my entire reading. I've devoured book upon book and relish the feeling of falling deeply into the narrative within. I often find myself completely enveloped and immersed in the plot and delight in facing the adventure and mystery with the characters. In short - I'm a complete bookworm.
The Lost Bookshop was like a love-letter for all book aficionados. We can't help but fall in love with Opaline, a strong-willed, determined, young woman who treasures books and the history and memories contained inside. Likewise, we despair at Martha's life and feel genuine rage at the obstacles she has had to overcome and the pitiful circumstances that she has found herself in. We journey with her into the past and can't help falling in love with reading again, as she develops a connection with literature that she never knew existed.
Simply breathtaking. The performances and narration were perfectly cast and the pace of storytelling excellent. Honestly my favourite book I've read in an incredibly long time. My first of Evie Woods, but certainly not my last.

Exquisitely written and narrated

A beautifully executed story with the rarity of being perfectly narrated. A real joy of a book and I am already purchasing copies of the paperback for my friends.
