Summary

The Keeper of Stories meets The Lost Apothecary in this evocative and charming novel full of mystery and secrets.

‘The thing about books,’ she said ‘is that they help you to imagine a life bigger and better than you could ever dream of.’

On a quiet street in Dublin, a lost bookshop is waiting to be found…

For too long, Opaline, Martha and Henry have been the side characters in their own lives.

But when a vanishing bookshop casts its spell, these three unsuspecting strangers will discover that their own stories are every bit as extraordinary as the ones found in the pages of their beloved books. And by unlocking the secrets of the shelves, they find themselves transported to a world of wonder… where nothing is as it seems.

Loved it

Days passed in a moment listening to this book and reawakened the book shop keeper in me that has always wanted to own a shop just like this. Maybe with real trees growing inside it.

A magical story full of twists and turns

The narrators of this book were excellent and I fell straight into the story. This is a well plotted book and it is full of twists and turns. The characters are believable and I found myself getting angry at them and wanted to shout.
A magical element to it too. If you liked Sally Page or Cecelia Ahern I would recommend you read this.

A unique and wonderfully magical story!

A truly magical story with lots of interesting and surprising twists and turns, love and heartbreak. A story about the strength people find inside themselves when they think they have nothing left.

A hauntingly beautiful story 😍

Opaline and Martha's stories are both tragic, endearing and beautiful. The different time perspectives are done in such a smooth way that I didn't even notice and I was at once in the 1920s or 1930s and then suddenly in the present day.
There are a few loose threads and I believe this was done intentionally so the reader can end some story lines as they wish. Every character has a role and builds the story beautifully.
