Fantastic Book - Gamechanging Advice

This book is phenomenal. Shahroo offers kind, practical advice for changing your behaviours, to help you create a bespoke diet for you, which works, not only to lose weight, but to keep it off for good.

Wow!

As I listened to that first chapter, tears ran down my face as I finally heard someone articulate with such compassion, empathy & understanding, the lifelong battle I’ve experienced with weight. I couldn’t believe how much Shahroo knew me as a child and how clearly and succinctly she was able to explain how my warped belief systems around food were formed.
As an author and narrator she is down to earth, relatable, reflection provoking, and self care inspiring, all while offering key insights and practical guidance for a personalised approach to weight loss. I have honestly gained so much from listening to this book. I’ve carried out the majority of the written tasks and am already making kinder decisions for myself throughout the day. I know I will be dipping in and out of this book for the foreseeable future. I loved it and can’t recommend it highly enough!

The Last Diet book you’ll ever need to read!

This is quite easily the best investment I’ve made toward my weight management. I can honestly say that it has impacted me profoundly. I went on to buy the paperback copy, to flick through throughout my journey.

What’s wonderful is that you hear her telling it in her own voice, like she’s talking to you directly, and I personally could relate to so much. She gets it… she was there, she knows what she’s talking about, and she has the Behavioral expertise to back it up.

Come for the weight loss, stay for the self care and self development.

Truthful

Loved it. I am 3 stone down in my weight loss journey. Shahroo helped me to understand my snack cravings and how to deal with them properly. Shahroo has lost a huge amount of weight after struggling through childhood and adulthood with weight gain...she tells you her real life experience and helps you to relate and understand thought processes to care for your own body.

Practical and inspiring

For people who feel that over eating food might be the symptom not the cause of unhappiness this book focuses on you not your waistline and did a wonderful job of both inspiring me to believe I can love myself and giving me the practical tools to make it happen. As a dieter of 20 + years I have believe this might finally be step one on the path to self acceptance and growth.

Too many random ideas, hard to implement

It probably won’t be my last diet book because it has solved my „issues“, but because I come to the realization that books aren’t a solution.
This one is well intended and has interesting concepts and exercises, but it’s just too many ideas and hard to implement- perhaps as an app it could be ok, not as an audiobook.
