1 of the most emotionally charged books I've loved
I am a huge Anne Bishop fan I will admit. I believe she is one of the premiere authors who is capable of not only creating worlds in stories that capture the raiders imagination but does with style and grace. I fell in love with her serious the books some 10 years ago and have listened to her books multiple times. well the books may not be for everyone the series should be able to capture a wide variety of interest for anyone interested in fantasy and RPG type books. she does a great job in this in character development in plot development Andrew to a certain extent if you pay attention into the political aspects of trying to subvert people we don't agree with or taking advantage of people's need to blame others. this book is a culmination of the trilogy and is full of action and adventure, where she doesn't spare the reader from the realities of battle and it's aftermath. if you're like me you may find yourself grabbing a Kleenex or two and hoping at the end that the survivors find the peace they need and a life worth living. I think I've listened to this serious three times so far and have never regretted listening to it more than once I enjoy listening to the narrators take of the story and believe he did a great job capturing the characters as the other laid out.
