Summary

A new life on another world!

Morgan used to be a pretty chill dude, until he got hit by a car, died, and then got sent to another world by a god-not-god. A world where the only way to survive was to level and grow strong enough to survive all the monsters that wanted to eat your face. If he was being completely honest with himself, Morgan quite liked this world, even with all the monsters and the lack of electricity. Sure, there were people that were technically gods, running around and interfering with his life, but who didn't have problems?

Things weren't all that bad; Morgan found friends, who included bad-ass elven twins, an orc, and a descendant of a Roman General from an alternate version of Earth, and together with them he founded a Guild, got some followers, and basically became a ruler.

So yeah, not all too bad - except that he now had several towns and villages of people looking to him for guidance and protection. And to make matters worse, a new Goblin King had risen and united the tribes in the mountains. Now they had a goblin horde on the way, and Morgan and his friends had to figure out a way to protect them all. Should be easy, right?

It was OK

I listened to the whole book and it was OK. I wouldn't pay for the 3rd installment. However, if it ever went on as and included title I probably would.

A good follow up

Hard to complain about free books on audible. A good sequel, well written and narrated. I did prefer the first book but it's still developing the world and the characters well.

Good but lacking something

I enjoy the story but feel like the world or characters lack something. I struggled to care about a lot of the characters and they feel kind of basic and superficial in there thoughts and emotions except the main character, although even he is quite basic except for one part of the story about his step dad.
Its a good read, im not disappointed but i dont think i will buy the other 2 books. Also kind of lame that they are still only fighting goblins after 2 books like can we see some more creatures.

Just as good as the last one.

I enjoyed this book but I couldn't help feeling sorry for the main villain in this story but not so much that I was rooting for him! 😁

litrpg themed story with God twist.

I was hooked on book 1 so immediately got book 2. main character is likeable , supporting characters are ok and am sure will develop with the story. the story is easy to listen to and generally follows litrpg game rules on leveling and skills, this may irritate someone new to this genre?
just as I done with review of book 1 , I dropped 1 star overall as I felt the book was a bit short, on reflection though this could be down to me power listening my way through it?
I am looking forward to the next book in the series and hope it will be out soon.

More stupidity

Okay so this guy again puts himself in situations where only luck can get him out yet again. How can his story go downhill so fast, I really don't get it. Stupid jokes and mistakes that could be seen from a mile away where the MC just happens to survive what a suprise. Instead of better more strategic planning it's just by luck and bumbling they make it through things. I don't see how this is anything but a poor attempt at trying to be funny, but the poor lines and that catch phrase, "fuck me sideways" is worn out.

A Fun Story But...

A fun story, but its hard to like the main character. Please tone him down to a more realistic level.

Lost Potential

Story could've been a bit longer. Felt like there was some lost potential there. For those saying the character got lucky completely missed everything that happened. The story is a fun twist on MMORPGs. If your a gamer read this series.

worth reading

above average and I'll pick up the next one when it comes out. The writing style is a bit off...not able to pinpoint exactly in what way.

Why the sex?

Good book but it could leave out the sex. Other than that, a good listen.

Pretty good

Plot was pretty good. Morgan now increases his Guild's ranking and territory. Goes from town to town get all but one. Interested to know the guy story, level, and class that didn't want his town to join. Goblin King comes earlier than initially expected. Orc tribes come and three out of four join Morgan. Final fight was really good! Only gripe with book is the romance...it is not needed as very bland and elementary. Narrorator changed voices from first book and was time in middle of dialog that didn't do right voices between Morgan and Clara.
Overall can't wait to read next book.
