Summary
The sixth in the Millennium series featuring The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - more than 100 million copies sold worldwide.
"What are you going to do now?"
"I will be the hunter and not the hunted."
Lisbeth Salander's mentor and protector Holger Palmgren is dead, and she has been gone from Stockholm since his funeral. All summer, Mikael Blomkvist has been plagued by the fear that Salander's enemies will come after her.
He should, perhaps, be more concerned for himself.
In the pocket of an unidentified homeless man, who died with the name of a Swedish government minister on his lips, the police find a list of telephone numbers. Among them, the contact for Millennium magazine and the investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist. Following the scorched trail of her twin sister Camilla to Moscow, Salander nevertheless continues to watch over her old friend. Soon Blomkvist will need her help. But first, she has an old score to settle; and fresh outrage to avenge.
The next episode in David Lagercrantz's acclaimed continuation of Stieg Larsson's Dragon Tattoo series is a thrilling ride that scales the heights of Everest and plunges the depths of Russia's criminal underworld. In a climax of shattering violence, Lisbeth Salander will face her nemesis.
For the girl with the dragon tattoo, the personal is always political - and ultimately deadly.
Translated from the Swedish by George Goulding
Critic reviews
"A murder mystery inside an espionage conspiracy wrapped in an action thriller-a unique concoction that should leave Salander's legion of followers clamoring for more." (Tom Nolan)
"Salander and Blomkvist are just as compelling as ever." (Michiko Kakutani, New York Times)
"Not only do the matter-of-fact style and intricate plotting and sexy, chilling atmosphere feel very true to the original novels, but Lagercrantz transcends the source material." (Benjamin Percy, Esquire)

Liked it!
Not as good as the last one, but I'm happy with it. Is this the end of Lisbeth or will there be another one?

not as good as Stig
It took me some time to get into the book. The performance is good, but the story dragged a bit.

Not impressed
I bout the audiobook as I’m a fan of the Millennium trilogy, but this instalment disappointed me a little. The story didn’t really move me, and the narrator’s performance was quite poor.

another very good story in the series
David Lagercrantz has generally done a good job of the difficult task of taking over another Author's characters. However in this story I feel.he has dumbed down the two main characters in order to help him create dramatic suspense. its a lazy trick to describe them as confused and unfocused in order to have them.miss obvious questions and conclusions. Michael and Lisbet are highly intelligent and rational. his writing is not true to their characters

A good read!
The fifth book in Stieg Larsson's Millenium series and continuation and conclusion to the Girl in the Spiders Web. The Girl Who Lived Twice is as fast paced as the first three books with intonation of the narration keeping you captivated. The only slightly off putting thing I found was the number of very short chapters at times creating a stop-start feel losing fluidity. Overall a very good read

Not a bad effort from David
his best was the book before , girl who took an eye for an eye where he really began to get into the rhythm of the series. This book continues on but maybe relies to heavily on cliches and action sequences and the plot becomes a bit muddled. Still the main Characters shine and the prose rattles along in its familiar style. Stieg would be proud.

Even Saul Reichlin can make this one sizzle
Sad to say the worst in the series by a long shot. The Millennium story just ran out of steam and failed to deliver the ending deserved for such a great series of books.
This story is flat, there is little tension like the old books and not enough of Lisbeth in this one.
That said Saul Reichlin tries his hardest and as ever is very good
