I need to read the whole series!

I was looking forward to The Girl That Vanished even though I had not read the synopsis as I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series. This book is set a few months after book one had finished and what happened in it was referenced a few times, so I would encourage people to read book one first.

Children are going missing from what Emma Griffiths considers her home town so it isn't long before she is called upon but she makes it clear that she is there to advise and she wasn't working. She had been under instructions to take some time off after her last job which has given her nightmares ever since. Emma being her gets very caught up in events that are happening and with an old flame too.

I liked this a lot, although Emma is still quite naive for what I think an FBI agent should be but she does solve the crime and it is gripping from the beginning right to the end.

I was shocked at who the culprit was, I really had no idea. And I need to find out who this mystery man who is basically stalking Emma is now!

The narrator was great and projected the book perfectly.

I look forward to the rest of the series.
