Summary
A new, sexy standalone from number one New York Times best seller, Vi Keeland.
It started out like any other Tuesday.
I spent 12 hours writing algorithms for one of the largest companies in the world and then came home to work on a pet project of mine—feeding facts about the men I knew into a formula to find my perfect match before my twenties came barreling to a close.
But then a man knocked on my door and handed me some papers that turned my life upside down.
Apparently, a father I never knew existed had left me something in his will. That something turned out to be part ownership in a professional football team.
Next thing I knew, I was learning a sport I knew nothing about by spending time with the team’s quarterback who was out with an injury, a man who my formula would definitely determine was all wrong for me.
Christian Knox was too handsome and confident for his own good and could have any woman he wanted. Only lately the only woman he seemed to want was me.
But there was no way I was getting involved when I was now his boss, even if he was insanely gorgeous and had the dirtiest mouth I’d ever come across.
It would be wrong, wouldn’t it?
Probably. But you know what they say about things that are wrong...sometimes they feel so right.

Quite good Vi Keeland's book
Let me start with the obvious stuff - performance by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York is as always top notch, they make the book much better.
As for the story itself, it is quite fresh thing from Vi Keeland. In this book she abandoned the theme, which you could see in many of her older books, where she wastes a significant part of story on some old past trauma of one characters. There's none of that here - we have FMC with baggage and two people figuring here and now on how to be together when some unfinished business from the past makes appearance. Overall it a very pleasant and light read, as you've come to expect from the author.

Solid Read
If it’s a Vi Keeland book, I know it will be great. And it truly was a solid read. I love a good sports romance and I also love narration by York and Arndt. I read a lot of books and I’ve noticed a trend of authors continually trying harder and harder to create unique heroines. While I understand the need to get away from your run-of-the-mill female leads, the basics of those characters generally work for many reasons. In a male lead, I want sexy and swoony among other things. We certainly get that here. Our heroine is a beautiful geek. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, there’s not really anything technically wrong with this MFC other than trust issues, and given her past, she has every right to have those issues. My only complaint is that there was nothing about her that really resonated with me. I didn’t connect. She was just a pretty nerd/numbers geek who never had a relationship but had a past of no strings relationships/encounters. She didn’t have any real passions other than her math. She was quite boring (to me). She didn’t come across as a Tom boy but wasn’t really girlie. She was luke warm in all the ways, personality wise. The hero had to work just to find something physical or healthy she might enjoy. Her only friend was a guy from college. Just a person not really living. Otherwise, the story was cute and sweet, albeit a little slow moving. I liked the “family is who you choose” and not necessarily your blood theme throughout. I liked that there were spicy scenes but the story did not lean too heavily on $ex. The hero was hawt, patient, successful, compassionate and all the things. Spectacular narration. I adored the epilogue. Even though the heroine wasn’t my favorite, I would still choose to read/listen in hindsight.

What can I say? Great story.
Great way to start my year reading. The Game delivered a sweet, funny sport read with an amazing, strong heroine and a sexy, dirty talking hero and I’m here for it. The Game captured my full attention from page one, in true Vi Keeland’s writing style my heart rate was elevated, my face hurt from laughing and I’ve fallen in love with another fictional character.

Perfectly sweet and dirty
A line from the epilogue “The perfect combination of sweet and dirty” is a perfect way to describe the story of Bella and Christian.
You will love this book if you like:
Sports romance
Brilliant and beautiful female lead
Charming gentleman male lead
A sweet Grandfather
The best bestfriends
Romance with low angst.
I loved the narration by the queen of narrating. Ande Arndt. She is joined by Sebastian

Great Story Line
I love a good romantic novel with a storyline, and this fits the bill. Every line doesn't have to be "s:.
As usual, the narration was spot on.

Football romance 💘 Sweet with Stellar narration
A pleasant romance, occasionally hot and sometimes poignant about a young woman who unexpectedly becomes a team owner of the “New York Bruins?” And old Giant Stadium which in the story is “Barrett Stadium”. Having grown up in ER until a teen I found a few of the geographic references hard to believe, but the story was pretty good. Also not sure why the system misses putting Bella in foster care given that she had contact with the cop investigating her mom’s accident, but a minor unexplained thread. I was hoping the final villain would have been a teen version of the evil step sister, who sadly continued to behave viciously with no consequences beyond alienating her sassy grandpa, but that all might have been too cliched and neat. The early tensions center around their attraction to each other when she is in the position as a new owner in training and Christian is a seasoned star quarterback and in contract negotiations. He has also been a bit of a player though when he meets Bella he knows she could be special to him, while she is a nerdy loner who is reticent about relationships given a sad history. The ending was great but we would have been thrilled to have had stories about Christian’s brothers so we could revisit these layrered characters.
The narration was expertly performed by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, though given their talent I had hoped for a duet rather than a dual format. In any case, I highly recommend for an entertaining, charming, easy read. A touchdown well worth the credit.

Loved this book!
The narration and the story were both awesome! I love Vi Keeland's books but this one is my favorite. I first listened to it when I was in the hospital for a knee replacement and wasn't feeling great. I finally did a second listen and didn't remember what happens. Love Andi Arndt and Sebastian York and they really brought the book to life. Such a good story to tell and I highly recommend it!
