Summary
The Forgotten Daughter by Mary Wood is the gripping first book in The Girls Who Went to War series.
From a tender age, Flora felt unloved and unwanted by her parents, but she finds safety in the arms of caring nanny Pru. But when Pru is cast out of the family home, under a shadow of secrets and with a young baby boy of her own to care for, it shatters little Flora.

Good story but a little predictable
I enjoyed this book, I love a good romantic story so this fit the bill although it was a tad predictable.
The only thing I didn’t like was the narrator, as a whole she was good but when voicing Pru she sounded like a 70 year old Yorkshire woman when the character was supposed to be in her 20’s and 30’s. The voice didn’t match the character at all.
Oh well I still enjoyed it and would buy another.

Lovely story
I enjoyed this book very much as it had all the elements I want, love,excitement,drama and sadness. Maybe a few to many rape and sex parts though.
