Verging on Excellent

Would you listen to The Food Babe Way again? Why?

Yes I' listen again because it's well read, has lots of food for thought, good information & lots of points I need to recap.

What other book might you compare The Food Babe Way to, and why?

Mmm. The Perfect Health Diet maybe??. because that one too is scientifically based, but more so.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The information on processed foods & unnecessary, grotty additives to food.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had had the time yes. But I needed to go slowly to adsorb all her findings/all the info.

Any additional comments?

I think modern day 'bad- food' issues are multi factorial. It's not all about the toxins manufacturers put into processed food, the GMO of food & toxic sprays.I am not belittling their disastrous effects on health; but I disagreed with her take on sugar. Vani did not look into insulin resistance,pre diabetic states, inflammation, metabolic syndrome etc which can stem in part (lots of parts) from a high carb intake. Nor did she address the ghastly processing of vegetable oils in depth. On the whole I thought the book was fantastic but I could only give it 4 stars because a more thorough research would have unveiled the importance of cutting down on sugars even if they are "natural" sugars - like coconut nectar etc that Vani advocates, (although she does say to balance the amounts consumed). Basically I think what this food activist has done is incredible & her book will help better the health of many lives, including mine.

Good info, very informative, just 1 thing missing!

If you could sum up The Food Babe Way in three words, what would they be?

Very informative and she does her homework

What did you like best about this story?

Not a story so I can't really say what I like best

Which scene was your favorite?

Scene??? Oh ya, the part where she explains what you should and shouldn't eat was pretty cool

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was very moved what she spoke of eating the right foods.

Any additional comments?

She must have referred to a pdf file that came with the audio book, at least 25 times throughout her reading. It has charts, tables, stats, recipes etc... yet when you download the audible version, you don't get this, and apparently there is no way to get them. I went to her website foodbabe.com, but there is no link on the site to contact anyone at all... so I then found her facebook page asking about it, but it's been 2 weeks and have no response. So just beware when you download, you will not get all of this info that you would get with the audio CD

Great Information

Would you consider the audio edition of The Food Babe Way to be better than the print version?

Yes & No. Yes because I'm so busy, being able to listen to this book, while I'm working or at the gym, made it possible for me to get through this book. No because with all the complicated, alien sounding chemical names, it is hard to remember them without see them. Luckily, I'm at a computer and looked up the names when they came up.

But mostly Yes, since it came with the .PDF

Enlightening and practical

We all know there are a lot of things in processed foods but we have no idea what, first because most of us don't read labels, we don't research ingredients, and sometimes companies don't disclose everything. Although she has a 21 day system to help you avoid the bad things in foods it's not just another diet, it's a way of living.. Good read!

Big food corporations should be Very Scared!

What did you love best about The Food Babe Way?

Big food corporations should be scared...Very Scared. We are educated thanks to Food Babe. I found this book so interesting. Vani has done the research. Many times listening to this book I found my self gasping out loud and hitting the button on my iPod to re listen to the last 15 seconds again! There is so much important information. Vani has a very nice speaking voice which makes this book very easy to listen to. I am PROUD to say I am a member of the Food Babe Army!

Life saving information!

Before listening to this audiobook, I thought eating healthy meant paying attention to the types of foods I ate, including macro and micro nutrient information. However now I know that there's an entire world of additional information that food companies keep from us including the processes that are used to make many foods.

These extremely complex and often toxic processes are used to extract or otherwise create many foods. Finally, the packaging of many foods can have a big impact on it's quality. Put together, all of these considerations make up a mountain of information that has direct bearing on how healthy or toxic the products that we buy are.

I realize now that ignorance of this information can be very bad for your health. The only way to navigate through the endless choices of toxic foods is to know the secret information contained in this book. It goes beyond the generalities that I have seen in many documentaries and other books, and gets down to the specifics of all of the things we are being exposed to, how to avoid them and make healthy choices. I consider it to be nothing less than life saving critical information!
