Summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of The Mighty Storm comes a heartfelt new stand-alone novel....

Taylor Shaw had the perfect life - until she was 16. That was when everything changed. From that moment on, life went from bad to worse...to the worst. After recovering from a brain tumor, months later, she suffers the tragic loss of her whole family.

Since that fateful day, she's been coasting through life.

Now the brain tumor has returned, and Taylor decides she's had enough. She's going to take her fate into her own hands. No more hospitals. No more surgeries. No more anything.

She's going to join her family.

It's her decision. What she longs for. The ending she wants.

She just has a list of things to do before she goes. First, go to England. Second, kiss a stranger... Only Taylor didn't expect Liam Hunter, the stranger - with his handsome face, his six-foot-three of gorgeousness, and his oh-so-hot English accent - to change things. To change her. To change the ending she wanted.

What is a girl who is standing on the edge of nothing to do when offered the chance of everything?

A rating...

My Review:
Overall: 4.5
Performance: 4.5
Story: 4.75

This book was just as good as I'd hoped it would be. Wow, it was really, really excellent. I listened to it on audio, but now I'm thinking I should read it in print to see if it's just as good. I honestly have a feeling it will actually be even better. (Although, the audio was EXCELLENT...I highly recommend it.)

The story is actually heartbreaking. Taylor has come to England to finish a list of tasks...to live...before the brain tumor that's killing her ends her life. One of her tasks is to kiss a stranger and that's how she meets Liam on the plane.

From the start, the two of them are explosive together. Taylor is grabbing onto life and is willing to do just about anything. Her zest for life infuses Liam with new life. He's a multi-billionaire and hasn't done much besides focus on building his business for the last few years. But he finds himself cutting work and just playing...just for the hell of it.

Their arrangement is a temporary one. She's there for 2 weeks. He'll help her accomplish her list. Emotions...besides fun and happiness...were never supposed to be involved. It's a romance novel, you know how that's going to play out.

Really the story was amazing. The narrators did an incredible job with the accents and inflections. Everything about this book was incredible. I highly recommend it!

EXCELLENT READ!!!

This book was simple and pure romance. This was a great read from start to finish... Male POV didn't come in til late in the audiobook but when it did it was beyond captivating. The male narrator's voice brought the whole book together. A truly wonderful love story. This book definitely gave me the feels.

4.75 STARS

Starts off with insta-lust but considering the circumstances it didn't bother me. I liked how they hit it off and that the hero was helping the heroine with the list. It was fun and steamy but at times sad. You'll feel for the heroine especially when she is so hard on herself. I loved that the hero was caring that there was no OW drama. Overall a beautiful story.

Narration was good. It took a while to get used to the guy voice the female narrator uses. The narration is mostly in the female POV.

90% porn, 10% cheap drama

So bad, I couldn't get past chapter 9. There's nothing entertaining about constant rutting and petty bickering. No imagination what so ever, we've all heard it a thousand times.

unique story, well written

cute story with a great beginning. the main character can be a bit whiny and stuck, especially toward the end.
but it grabbed me from the first few chapters and turned out to be a good , well written story with a storyline that is a little different and sweet.
the narrators were decent. all in all definitely worth the credit imo

The beginning that felt like it didn’t have an end.

First things first, I will not DNF or ask for refunds.
If you’re into smut, the first 6 hours is for you. If you like spice and plot the last 5 hours is for you. You’ll just have to listen at 1.3 or higher to push through the first half. Some of her dialogue was repetitive.
Once they’ve arrived to Oxford, enter plot. The female narrator is good. It was the writing that put me to sleep, twice. When the male narrator came on towards the second half, it may have been the way he read, the change of perspective or one writers work on this half that made the second half way good. Liam made me laugh and boy did he hit me in the feels. Seriously, I teared up when I heard the emotion behind the words. Anywho, if you can push past the first half, it’s a good read.

the ending I wanted

this is my first review. I love this author and was excited. the story and Taylor were a little tough after awhile. she frustrated me in a good way. disappointed the male pov comes in so late in the book. however when it finally did, I was riveted. the narrators were great and entertaining. I will watch for them when I'm shopping for future selections.
