Game changing for dog problems
So helpful. Really enlightening on why dogs do what they do and how we can be unconsciously telling them the wrong signals. My little ones are much happier after I listened to this.

Excellent
Understanding what the dogs thought processes are makes a massive difference to training the dog.
I have a rescue Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who is very well behaved in the house until a visitor arrives. He also has issues when we’re out and meet strangers and other dogs.
This audiobook has helped me immensely in understanding my dog and enables me to deal with his emotional status when we are in these situations. I am now very hopeful that I will soon have a well balanced dog who is no longer fearful of situations by building my trust and leadership for him.
Thank you!

Fantastic and very useful
I've listened to the audio of this book twice now and I don't think I'll get sick of listening to it.Very insightful and helpful. I also had the pleasure of meeting Nigel for a behavioural consultation last week. Having listened to The dog guardian first, I had a better understanding and had a chance to put some of the teachings into practice prior. Which was great!!
I Highly recommend!!

Should be taught in schools
Eye-opening. It's not that I'm observing anything new, it's stuff I've seen every day in my long lifetime with dogs, yet I simply didn't realise what it all meant. Transformed my relationship with my dog and also, amazingly, explained the behaviour of my husband and kids(!)

Loved this book- a must for struggling dog owners
I have a one year old cocker spaniel who I totally love but find a challenge in a number of areas. I've followed lots of the other well known dog trainers on YouTube etc and found their tips useful, have had 1-1 training with some local trainers which again has been helpful but finding Nigel's book has been a game changer for me.
It's the first trainer I've followed where his whole approach relates to looking to the CAUSE of your dog's behaviour - why is she barking out the back, why is she chewing her blanket, why is she jumping on the couch! - as opposed to providing techniques (distracting, re-directing) which just address the symptoms - the barking, chewing, jumping - of the underlying issue.
All the time the focus is on teaching your dog that you are their guardian and responsible for them.
I am reading the book for the second time as I try to put Nigel's advice into practice........it's only been two weeks but already I can see progress and feel like I really have a proper approach and plan now to help my dog to be its best and happiest self....... and if she's happy, I will be happy!
I have sent this book to 5 or 6 of my friends as I really feel it is such a help and I know I'll keep referring to it and Nigel's website.
Love the way it provides specific real life case studies also - clients of Nigels who were struggling with their dogs.
It's only 6 hours long and packs in so much sound, solid advice in this timeframe.

It works! Best advice on how to guide your dog
Nigel's way just works. We've consulted many dog behaviourists and never got better, clearer advice than from Nigel. The book is excellent, concise, clear and to the point. Easy to listen to and even easier to implement, and it works. Within hours of implementing the learnings our dog started to get it (or was it us who got it?), and months later he/we still do!
Thank you so much, your teachings have made our interaction with our Whippet's so much more pleasant : )
