Summary

Emma Hall is an aspiring screenwriter whose latest screenplay is causing quite the scene in the script-hunting world. Francis Callahan, an ambitious movie producer and director who is rising fast in the movie world, gets wind of the screenplay, and immediately schedules to meet Emma in person.

Emma is both excited and nervous. Francis, after all, was her old best friend from high school, and she hasn’t spoken to him in years. While ecstatic that she is finally receiving serious consideration for the job that is her dream, she is afraid that things could get awkward, very fast.

Can Emma navigate the potentially problematic encounters and win for herself a movie contract and perhaps something else? Or will she find herself with nothing but disappointment, and continue with the same status quo that she has had for years?
