About this listen
A hugely enjoyable, must-listen murder mystery sure to appeal to fans of Elly Griffiths, Anthony Horowitz, and Agatha Christie, with one of the best and most satisfying conclusions you'll ever hear. A classic in Japan, available in English for the first time.
©2007 Yukito Auatsuji (P)2022 TantorThe narrator is quite good BUT the accent is distinctly American, which seems to be quite common in readers of translations from Japanese books, it passes but is, initially incongruous.
Good twist on a classic

The narration was horrible. The American accent didn’t seem fitting for a distinctly Japanese novel but more than the the voice actor’s voice sounded like AI. His tone on top of some very strange pronunciation was very off-putting.
I would read other books by this author, but I certainly wouldn’t choose to listen to the narrator again.
A good tribute
